Loads to do even in soggy weather!
I'm singing in the rain, I'm singing in the rain....
Why? because there's so much to do even on a Rainy day in Weymouth.
Whether that's visiting the Nothe Fort followed by a spot of lunch at the The Nothe Tavern Weymouth or in one of Hope square south harbourside eateries The Red Lion Weymouth, The Galley Bistro Pascal's Brasserie Informal french restaurant The Secret Garden Café, The Old Rooms Inn Weymouth Harbour Driftwood Weymouth The Kings Arms Weymouth and popping to the Tudor House Museum, Weymouth (Fri & Sun)
or crossing the bridge and visiting cafe's, restaurants and bars, plus some incredible independent shops in St Mary's street, St Thomas Street, new Bond street, Great George street, Maiden street, St Edmunds street, Westham rd, the Esplanade, Park street, Kings street and St Alban street... etc, do take a look at our map on our website or pop into the Weymouth Information Shop to pick up a map which shows all the pedestrianised areas
There are so many other things to do whilst you're here:
Why not catch a film at Cineworld Weymouth or a show at Weymouth Pavilion try the children's play area at The Palm House or amusements at Alexandra Gardens Weymouth, Electric Palace Weymouth Beach, the Royal Arcade, Weymouth near Brunswick terrace and the sands arcade on the Esplanade as well as VR fun at Player Ready Weymouth - Virtual Reality & Escape Rooms. Take a full day out at Sealife - Weymouth or if you're missing the sand, make your own at Sandworld Sand Sculpture Festival - Weymouth. Try the rides at Fantasy Island Amusement Park or do a spot of golf ( in your coat is quite fun, we've tried it!!) at the Pirate Adventure Golf Weymouth and for the little-ones there's also Soft play at Brewers Fayre,, Lodmoor, Weymouth. If you still want to get wet then try some swimming at the local pool or at The Rembrandt Weymouth.
If you don't mind donning your coat, then do take a walk and see another side to Weymouth including the FREE heritage trail, mural trail and sculpture trails stretching from Bowleaze to Nothe. https://weareweymouth.co.uk/trails/
For a reasonably priced day out why not purchase a 2 day bus ticket and take a few trips on the Jurassic coaster (free with a senior bus pass or for those under 5yrs old) visiting Portland and Lyme Regis with First Dorset or take a train to Dorchester and visit the Shire Museum
For a trip further afield try popping into Bluebird Coaches (Weymouth) Ltd on the Esplanade and hop on a tour within Dorset or Somerset.
But don't forget to be back in time for tea in one of our incredible cafes, bars and restaurants lining the entire town.
