Another trip to our favourite beach at Amroth today. Time it right and you have a fantastic expanse of beach to enjoy and lots of rock pools to explore. As with the majority of beaches here there is a dog-friendly section giving plenty of space for your pooch to tire themselves out 🐶💤

In the outbuilding next to Lletty Bach we get the same holidaymakers every year 💕
Not the best of photos but this year’s second batch of swallows are looking ready to almost leave the nest. It’s definitely looking cosy in there! Sadly the first pair that usually use the nest failed to raise their brood as one of the parents was found dead on the shed floor, and the other couldn’t do cope by themselves 😞
Fingers crossed these three (maybe four) successfully fledge in the near future. Plenty of time to practice their skills before flying back to Africa!

We are finding ways to use our sheep’s wool in a sustainable and eco-friendly way! As well as hanging basket liners it does well in the garden around vegetables and flowers to deter slugs and snails. And in the winter it can be used in muddy gateways to improve footing for the sheep (and us!) Of course there are many other uses for fleece as insulation or in the crafting world to needle-felt, peg-loom, or spin. We have plenty available if you are interested in purchasing any 🐑🧶🪴

Took a trip to one of our favourite beaches at Amroth which is only a few miles away. The water is warming up now and perfect for a paddle (or more if you’re brave!) A super expanse of sand at low tide it’s the perfect place to spend a relaxing day, or go exploring in the rock pools. Plenty of space for your four-legged family member too with a year round dog friendly section.
Should you want to travel the coast you can hop from Amroth to Wiseman’s Bridge - stop in the pub for a pint and some grub overlooking the sea. Then head round to Saundersfoot and explore the harbour and seafood eateries. Finish off with a visit to the walled town of Tenby with it’s colourful buildings and choice of eateries. Something for everyone!

Rural and secluded, Lletty Bach is a holiday let hidden away in a valley on the Carmarthenshire/Pembrokeshire border providing a peaceful location to get away from busy lives.

Detached, private property, all on one level, with its own garden/patio area and views down the valley. We accept two adults and two children (bunk beds suitable for children aged up to 13 years only), and provide travel cot and highchair for younger travellers. We also accept one small dog at no extra charge (to be kept on a lead at all times). Open plan living/dining/kitchen area and bathroom with shower cubicle and seat. Parking onsite. Wi-fi. Nearest shop and garage is approximately three miles away.

We are a working smallholding so if you’re interested you also have the opportunity to meet the animals including rare breed sheep, and ex-commercial chickens that will supply you with welcome eggs.

Although in a quiet spot we are in an excellent location for exploring, being equidistant from the south and west coasts. There are many activities to try and places to visit and we provide tourist information helping you to plan your days. Attractions such as Oakwood theme park and Folly Farm zoo are a short car journey away, and dog-friendly beaches are also within easy reach. Nearby Narberth is worth a visit for its antique and boutique shops, and Tenby is also not far away with its colourful properties and cafes.

This was last year, and this year they are back again! Only three spotted so far but already sorting their nest in our outbuilding.

The swallows are starting to return this week and are already flying in and out of the outbuilding where they’ve nested the past three years, sometimes having two lots of chicks in a season.
Seeing them back means it really is spring now!
We have lots of birdlife here, and the binoculars to spot them with!
