Cedar Holme has been totally refurbished this year and you are one of our first guests to experience the unique advantages of a holiday based in the village of Wingerworth. fantastic views we have overlooking Chesterfield. Outside dining and BBQ facilities are provided on the grassed area overlooking the fields towards Chesterfield.

We know when most people arrive, the first thing they want after traveling is a nice cuppa and you dont want to be going out to get milk, so we have it on hand all ready for you in the fridge.

Simone has lived at the farm all her life and moved from Cedar Holme into the main house, Overdale, in 1983.

We've had a lot going on here at the farm over the last few months.

As many of you will know we have horses on the farm and unfortunately back in August we sadly lost Duke.

His passing was very sudden and very unexpected and left us all in a bit of shock.

The horses are a big part of Cedar Holme and most of our guests love to see them in the field.

Lyn, Dukes owner, has had a lovely new horse a couple of weeks ago. We'll post his photos and tell you all about him tomorrow.

We have free range guineafowl in the village that roost in the tree. Did you know they actually fly? I didn’t. Here’s a video I’ve been trying to get for ages.

It’s going to be a hot one over the next couple of days. Lyn is helping to keep the horses cool by making them ice pops with frozen apples and carrots. What are you doing to keep cool?

What crazy weather we’ve been having. 18 degrees one week -1 the next!! It’s definitely keeping us on our toes. I’ve been trying to get a good picture of the village  guinea fowl for weeks now, but they are very quick, so I did a little video of them instead. The are free range and live in the village. Don’t panic if you see them crossing the road, they’ve been in the village for years (I’m told around 10 years) and they are quite stree wise 😂😂

How lovely does our cottage look in the snow 😍 We’ve had quite a bit of snow this afternoon but I don’t think it will stick around. We still currently have availability for February half term. bit.ly/CedarHolme

We are thinking of entering Duke into Britain’s got talent. Do you think he’d get through? 😂

We have lots of wildlife around the farm, from all sorts of garden birds, squirrels, to a pair of buzzards (currently with 2 young) and then yesterday we spotted this little one. It was a privilege to capture the tiny weasel and we’ve set up a camera to see if we can capture more images of her. We’ve called her squishy.
