I am a mum to two young girls, and realise the importance of finding the right person to look after your child. My aim is to provide a 'home from home' where children in my care feel happy, cared for and stimulated. Having been a working mum myself, I have been through the process and also the anxieties of handing over your child to someone else to look after. You will want your child to feel safe
and secure , where their interests are taken into account, where they have fun, but also learn, are taken out and about, and have healthy meals. I love reading and we have a wide range of books for different ages. We have been reading to our girls from a very young age, and will incorporate this into any daily routine. I will take your child out to local groups, music groups, the library and toddler sessions. We will also have special trips out to the Zoo, farm etc. We grow our own fruit and vegetable ( tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, cress), which the children will be involved in. I also do a lot of cooking with the children, so they can learn how things are made and can enjoy the fruits of their labours! Arts and crafts are another activity we do a lot, including play doh, painting, constructing, sticking, crayoning and much more ! As your childminder, it's my responsibility to fulfil the requirements of the EYFS and ensure your child receives the best possible level of care and education and will therefore be implementing all aspects of the EYFS in my childminding, working closely with you as the parent.
