It is this time of year, when all I want is to snuggle up on a comfy sofa, and watch again the film “The Holiday” starring Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Cameron Diaz. Sadly Rosehill Cottage from “The Holiday” doesn’t exist, but if you are like me and you long to stay in an quintessential English village cottage similar to Rosehill Cottage in the movie, Amy’s Cottage is just perfect. Bawdsey to Old Felixstowe Ferry - just 4 miles from Amy’s Cottage and runs at weekends throughout October. Wave the bat and the ferry will come and pick you up. We recommend the Ferryboat Inn Felixstowe for food - lots of local fresh fish on the menu. We still have a couple of weekends available in October, if you want to save the Airbnb booking fee, send me a message.
