A very sad day today, with the news that our beloved Queen has passed away.
She was our nation’s grandmother, a life of service, a life of grace, a life of love.

We had a glorious visit to the BBC 1995 Peaks and Pemberley today.
Here are a couple of photos from today, compared with a screenshot from the production.

Thursday sees us once more going up on to the moors as seen in Pride And Prejudice 2005, we will also be visiting the Inn at Lambton and of course, the glorious Pemberley from the film.

Day 4 of our mix n match Pride And Prejudice ’95 / ‘05 tour - the last day!
We fitted in a visit to the 2005 ‘Meryton’ to see where the street scenes were filmed and hot tailed it to ‘Rosings Park’ from 1995 and as follows saw
- Darcy’s blue bedroom now & then
- the staircase used after Darcy had been taken down a peg in the bad proposal now & then
- the King Charles ii picture in the hallway now & then (just behind Darcy’s head)
- also other photos of Rosings today

Phew!!

Day 3 of our foray into the world of Pride And Prejudice…today we mixed it up a bit and visited the rocks and Pemberley from the 2005 film
- the rocks today (with our visitors having their ‘Lizzy’ moment) and as in the movie
- Pemberley today (gloriously beautiful weather) and as seen from the Gardiners carriage in the film….and Darcy turned up too!

And so day 4 of our Pride And Prejudice 1995 road trip is over. Our visitors are on the next leg of their journey in the UK, and we begin it all again next week - hurrah!

It has been great to be back delivering this tour after such a long time.

Today saw us visit
- Pemberley - today and in the series
- Lizzie’s Peak District- today and in the series
- Hunsford Parsonage - today and as in the series….and…we’re staying here tonight.
A long day that also included the Inn at Lambton.
Phew!

Day 2 of our 4 day trip following in the footsteps of Elizabeth and Darcy; today saw us visiting Netherfield Park and Stoneleigh Abbey (which is a JA connection as Darcy’ London is closed for 2022).

Well here we are in Bath!
Tomorrow sees us at the start of a 1995 Pride And Prejudice 4 day tour…the first for 3 years (yes we’re looking at you Covid!)

At last! After 2 years of awfulness, I welcomed the very lovely Kim, Anne & Tia on a Pride And Prejudice day tour to ‘Netherfield Park’ and Lady Catherine de Bourgh’s wonderful grounds at ‘Rosings’

On this day(evening) in history…
24th September 1995 the first episode of the BBC production of Pride And Prejudice was aired.
Those of us who watched it then knew it was something special, but for it to become such an iconic series was an unexpected surprise.
It is now the period drama that every new period drama wants to be.
Happy anniversary 1995!!

Of course today is the anniversary of the death of Jane Austen. This lady from the past has affected my life in ways I never imagined!
Today I have my own little tour company which first started with tours to the Pride and Prejudice locations (1995).
It is with gratitude and love that I raise a glass to this inspirational woman.

We brought our office cat Miss Milly home one year ago today. She’d been put into a local rescue centre just before lockdown last year.
We’re still getting used to her (and her tail, as her predecessor, Cleo didn’t have one) and I’m sure we’re as confusing as hell to her, but our office feels like a proper office should!
