Well it’s 2 weeks until we are back in Playa Blanca ourselves. Been a busy few months with some lovely guests enjoying Casa Lugar Feliz. We have also made a number of improvements including some new seating, a fabulous outdoor solar shower and having the entire outside patio area deep cleaned. Can’t wait to spend time enjoying the sea views, the amazing bars and restaurants and spending time on the beach and visiting some of the great villages and attractions.

We are taking bookings for 2023 so please pm us if you are looking to start planning your 2023 trip.

Well we are coming to the end of another amazing trip to our happy place. The weather has been amazing. Started with a torrential storm on first night and since then the weather has been amazing. Sea temperature is a little tepid and requires a little bravery but once you are in it’s lush. For guests we heat the pool between October and April and it is bliss. The hot tub is at 38 degrees and in the evenings has been lovely to watch the sun go down. We don’t have much availability left for 2022 but the bookings are open for 2023 and as you will have all read restrictions have been completely lifted for travel in both directions. Look forward to welcoming many of you to our villa in the future. All the best Simon and Cheryl.

Only a week until we fly out to spend some lovely family time in our home.

So we are home after 2 glorious weeks in our beautiful happy place of Playa Blanca. I thought o would share our travel experience.

Overall I would say our travel experience has been very smooth and straightforward as long as you plan and are prepared. We printed everything before we left UK incl vaccination certificates, PCR test results for kids, copies of reference info for day 2 tests, SPTH QR codes (Spanish passenger locator forms) and boarding passes.

We also registered for UK passenger locator form on gov.uk before we went to simplify the last 48 hours. Ryanair were brilliant on way out. Everything checked when we dropped off bags and given a simple piece of paper to confirm checks done which we handed in at gate.

48 hours ago we walked into a clinic in Papagayo centre and 20 mins later had print outs of fit to fly certificates. These cost €20 per person. Logged on and completed Uk passenger locator form and was able to get this printed out aswell. At Arrecife airport this morning same system as coming out. The guys at checkin reviewed fit to fly and passenger locator forms and gave us a small piece of paper to confirm all checked. We handed that in at gate. Security queues were minimal.

At stansted we had a queue for egates as only about 6 out of 30 were open. No other checks of forms. Now all we have to do is take our home day 2 PCR tests which arrived before we had left for our holiday and send them off.

We had a fantastic time with amazing weather. Lanzarote is coming back to life. All the bars and restaurants are open as are the tourist attractions. Based on everything we will be returning very soon and can’t wait.

Today we took a trip to Haria where there is a market every saturday. The atmosphere was amazing with lots of local businesses selling their products. From food, jewellery, paintings and clothes there is something for everyone I assure you (Trust me we have a teenage boy in the family!). Then we took a 5 min walk from Haria market to Cesar Manrique’s house/museum. Cesar Manrique was a very influential man in lanzarote as he developed the architectural style still present on the island. It was an amazing tour and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting!!

Good morning everyone and a happy Friday. We have a Calima for last few days which makes the sky a little hazy as the sands from the Sahara are in the air. This morning we have woken up to a beautiful clear sky and perfect views across to Fuertaventura. Have a great weekend everyone.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who is following our journey with Casa Lugar Feliz. Life has been strange for everyone over past 18 months but we are seeing great signs of returning to something resembling normality. We are currently out in Lanzarote and Playa Blanca is looking beautiful and there is a great atmosphere with most bars, restaurants, shops, tourist attractions and hotels back open. The beaches are lovely, as is our pool and hot tub. We are very grateful to those who have already booked and we still have some availability for rest of 2021 and for 2022. Well we are off to our happy place!!! Process is very smooth if you do the right planning and print documents in advance. Stansted was great. Queues not bad. Everyone warm and welcoming.

2 years ago today we welcomed our very first guests into Casa Lugar Feliz. Things haven’t quite gone to plan over past 18 months for any of us but we are now starting to see real light at the end of the Covid tunnel. Lanzarote has been downgraded to level 1 and we are hoping for good news from Grant Shapps later today. We would like to express a massive thanks to all our guests and everyone who follows us and hope you will be able to visit very soon. We are taking bookings for the rest of 2021 and for 2022 so please take a look.
