Another highlight of Sighnaghi is St.Stephen church in Sighnaghi fortress, (take the road to the left of Hotel Sighnaghi at the highest square. The church is up the road on the right.). The church tower commands an excellent view of Sighnaghi’s surrounding areas and tourists can climb over the fortifications.

Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino and Episcopacy is located in Kakheti, 2 kilometers away from Sighnaghi.

According to the legend it is built on the burial place of Saint Nino. Georgian kings were paying great attention to the Bodbe Monastery. It has been repaired and restored many times.

Sighnaghi is one of the oldest cities in Georgia🥂

It is located in the Kakheti region. This city has been reconstructed recently, and it looks like it did 200 years ago. Nowadays, Sighnaghi is the tourists' favorite place, as they can see beautiful old architecture and enjoy the magnificent views over the Alazani Valley. However, in the past, it was a strategic city used as a defense against enemies. Around Sighnaghi, there was a huge wall with several entrances and 28 castles. During invasions, all people could enter the city and protect themselves inside.
