About the Kyabobo
National Park (pronounced CHAY-a-bobo) is one of Ghana’s newest ecotourism sites. The 220-square –kilometre Kyabobo National Park is recognised internationally as a unique mountainous conservation area with stunning views and well-protected wilderness. Kyabobo is located in the Nkwanta district of the northern Volta region on the border with Togo. The nearest town is  Nkwanta.
The reserve was established in 1997. Ghana’s second-highest mountain, Mount Dzebobo is contained within the park and offers visitors an impressive view of the Lake Volta.
Plans are underway to link Kyabobo with the contiguous Fazao-Malfacassa National Park in Togo to create Ghana’s first trans-frontier park. In the future, this cross-border cooperation may allow visitors to hike freely between both parks.
The park is located in the Dry semi-deciduous transition zone between tropical rain forest and tree savanna. The park contains both forest and savannah species of plants and animals. Its forests contain the nationally endangered endemic tree Talbotiella gendtii.
The Park’s wildlife include buffalo, kob, warthog, Aardvark, bushbuck, duikers and baboon. Threatened species include lion, elephant, bongo, reedbuck, leopards, and hartebeest. A park survey lists at least 500 species of butterflies and 235 birds.  The park offers challenging multiple-day hikes through its rugged terrain, mountain biking, game viewing hides, shrines and sacred groves as well as interesting cultural experience.
The Park is about 400km from Accra and it is open to tourist. However with its rich fauna and scenic beauty it is going to add to the tourism potentials of the Volta Region.

When to Visit
The waterfall and Koue River are most dramatic after the rains, from August-December. The villages of Shiare, Koue and Kylinga and their shrines can be visited anytime with community guides, after making arrangements with the local chief.

Mole National Park is the largest and most prestigious protected area in Ghana, in the north-west of the country, is Ghana’s largest wildlife refuge, measuring 4,849 sq km. The park has very rich flora and fauna. It is best known for its elephants (a population of about 600) as well as many other primates.

Mole shares its borders with 33 fringe communities in two of Ghana’s regions: the Northern Region and the Upper West Region. In addition to savouring the precious flora and fauna through game viewing, bird watching, informative walks and camping, visitors to the Park can also visit some of the neighbouring communities, and experience their rich cultural heritage, architecture and traditional livelihood activities, among others. Nearby tourist attractions include Bui National Park, Gbele Resource Reserve, Wechiau Community Hippo Sanctuary, Paga Crocodile Pond, Paga Pio’s Palace, Wa Naa’s Palace, Pikworo Slave Camp, Sirigu (for its architecture and exterior décor), Ancient Mosques (particularly Larabanga, Bole and Nakose), the Kraal buildings, Nalerigu Defense Wall, Gwollu Defence Wall, Navrongo Cathedral, and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows, also at Navrongo. Welcome to Ghana’s most visited attraction, the Kakum National Park. Tucked away in the Assin Attandanso Reserve is the Kakum National Park and Canopy Walkway that offers visitors spectacular scenery and a fascinating wildlife experience along with modern camping facilities. The park’s best-known feature is undoubtedly its 7 suspension bridges which form a 333-meter long canopy walkway, suspended up to 27 meters above the forest floor from trees that are over 300 years old.

It’s also a premier site for bird watchers, with over 300 species including eight species of global conservation concern. Mammals include forest elephant, leopard, bongo, bushbuck and many primates, but game viewing is difficult. Also, more than 600 butterfly species have been recorded.

The forest has wild life which can be seen in the night and professional guides are always available to take you on a guided night tour.

The park is child-friendly so don’t forget to take the kids along to the newly added children’s park with a super mini and safe canopy walkway swings and play area.

Cape Coast Castle (Swedish: Carolusborg) is one of about forty "slave trade castles", or large commercial forts, built on the Gold Coast of West Africa (now Ghana) by European traders and Africans. It was originally a Portuguese "feitoria" or trading post, established in 1555, which they named Cabo Corso. Also a UNESCO World Heritage Site that serve as a reminder of the depth of Ghana’s heritage ( especially for the diaspora who their ancestors were sold off from the Castle to the Americas or Europe).

Black Star Square, also known as Independence Square, is a public square in Accra, Ghana, bordered by the Accra Sports Stadium and the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. The square often hosts the annual independence celebrations as well as other national events. It is currently the site for all civic and military parades in Ghana. It was completed in the year 1961, which coincided with the state visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Ghana. The Black Star Square is sited between The 28th February Road and The Accra's Southern Coastline. Also the public square is one of the largest in the world.
