The Mole National Park is Ghana’s largest wildlife refuge. The park is located in the Savannah region of Ghana. The park’s lands were set aside as a wildlife refuge in 1958. It covers an area of 4577 km2 of fairly undisturbed Guinea Savannah in the Northern part of Ghana.
The Park is home to Ghana's most healthy elephant population, it is a key area for elephant conservation. According to reports, the Park is home to a distinct breed of elephants that, in contrast to other elephant populations in the rest of Africa, are neither unfriendly, aggressive, nor insecure. Although they are quite rare in terms of population, animals like buffalos and hippos can be found in the forest with the antelopes and elephants that predominate there.

The larabanga mosque is located in West Gonja, Ghana. It is the oldest mosque in Ghana and also one of the oldest mosques situated in West Africa. The mosque was built by an Islamic trader named Ayuba in the year 1421 and this makes the mosque approximately 602 years old. It was built in the Sudanese architectural style which makes it unique to other mosques in Ghana.
According to Statista, in 2021, about 55 thousand tourists visited this unique landmark in Ghana.
