(En français ci-après) Children’s portrait from Ahanta West, Ghana, taken in Ezile Bay, between Busua and Cape Three Points, a few years ago.
These generous smiles as well as bright and sparkling eyes of love and promises of life, of these two young boys from Akwidaa (southern coast of Ghana), are real gifts that illuminate. Thank you to them.

Some souvenir with at Ezile Bay.
Today, beads workshop at Ezile Bay, my paradise (and ecofriendly lodge) in Ghana, between Busua and CapThree Points. Natural and untouched environment, calm sea (perfect for swimming and surfing next door). Very inspiring, easy beading at this wonderful place. More coming.

Ezile Bay seen from the sky. The beach part. With the large and superb badamiers (terminalia catappa in Latin, a fact more than 25 meter high) providing a shade and refreshing atmosphere on the edge of the bay. Swimming is safe, no crowd, no current. Next door Katakro (10 mn walk) is perfect for surfing

The western region of Ghana (the most beautiful beaches in the country), and especially the Ahanta West, has so much to offer and discover. Such as the last piece of primary forest by the sea, in West Africa (and also beautiful mangroves, forts, lots of birds, local life, very nice beaches, surf spots) etc.   
You are welcome in this small corner of West Africa, still preserved, in all its opulent and diverse nature, its beautiful wild rusticity. The luxuries of the 21st century.

Ezile Bay vu du ciel. La partie plage. Avec les grands et superbe badamiers (terminalia catappa en latin, un fait plus de 25 m de haut) procurant une ombre et atmosphère rafraîchissante au bord de la baie. La baignade n'est pas dangereuse, pas de courant et peu de personne. A 10 mn à pied, Katakro est un très bon spot de surf.

La région ouest du Ghana (les plus belles plages du pays), et tout spécialement l’Ahanta West, a tant à  offrir et découvrir. Tel que le dernier morceau de forêt primaire en bord de mer, en Afrique de l’Ouest (et aussi des belles mangroves, des forts, beaucoup d’oiseaux, la vie locale, de très belles plages, des spots de surf) etc.   
Vous êtes les bienvenus dans ce petit coin d’Afrique de l’Ouest, encore préservé, dans toute sa nature opulente et diversifiée, sa belle rusticité sauvage. Les luxes du 21eS.

Bambara pea, Angole pea, sorghum, baobab fruit, amaranth, fonio, taro, soybean, souchet (atadwe), wusa (African pepper), millet are all traditional products and cultures in Africa, among many others. As the whale watching season approaches, I can't help but wonder why Ghana doesn't capitalize on the large pods of humpback whales that swim past our shores from September to December. I captured this photo from a small fishing canoe just off the shore at Cape Three Points, Ghana's southernmost point.

Places like Baja California promote whale watching as a major tourist attraction and generate millions from it. However, many people in Ghana are unaware that this incredible experience is available here.

Today is the world mangrove day. Luckily is mangrove (every)day at Ezile Bay.

At Ezile Bay, we are lucky (and preserve!) to have a little mangrove at the edge of our land. Even we got a wonderful natural ”bonsai’ mangrove tree, when the mangrove meet the sea.

Many animals live in mangrove, while sitting on the shore of the small lagoon, you should see different type of birds and other small animals. The mangrove is an ecosystem by itself. It is also a "nursery" for small fishes, which go out into the ocean when bigger.

At Akwidaa old town, is a larger mangrove on Ezile river that can be visited by canoe.
The western region of Ghana is the region where there are the most abundant mangroves and marshes.

We need to conserve mangrove ecosystems and restore those that have been lost before it’s too late.

Yum! Miam !

A lunch full of simplicity, freshness and flavors. Homemade with fresh quality products.
Prawns bought from my fishermen neighbors. A crisp bread, hot and fresh out of our ovens. A mayonnaise with lemon (from Busua) and ginger, a homemade creation. The short circuit has its best level. Bon appétit! I leave you, I will enjoy! You are invited!

Un déjeuner tout en simplicité et saveurs. Du fait maison avec des produits frais de qualité.
Des gambas achetées à mes voisins pêcheurs. Un pain craquant, chaud et fraichement sorti de nos fours. Une mayonnaise au citron (de Busua) et gingembre, une création maison. Le circuit court a son meilleur niveau. Bon appétit ! Je vous laisse, je vais me régaler ! Vous êtes invités !

A wonderful sunrise on the bay of Ezile.
This how we start our day there.
On the peninsula behind is old Akwidaa, called Ezile an also ruins of german fort. Fort Dorothea.
So much to do, to see, and discover on this littlecorner of Ahanta West, in southwest Ghana.
One hour on the west from Busua. Perfect also for a day trip or staying in this little paradise.
