The Harrowing Tale of Mannually Harvesting Soybeans in the Northern part of Ghana

Manual Harvesting (Up-rooting) of Soybeans is a common practice in rural areas, especially among the most deprived but farming-dominated communities.
Though very tiresome and hectic, Soybean farmers have no option but to resort to the manual method, which involves bending down and uprooting the crops with both hands.
Children are also involved in this method since is not hard-to-reach by them.
Farmhands charge a fee of Ghc 700 to Ghc 800 per acreage of Soybeans.
Some farmers still use manual methods in thrashing the harvested crops. They use big sticks to knock on heaped Soybeans to separate the seeds from the husk and later winnow them to separate the dirt from the seeds.
Fortunately, modern Agricultural machinery such as soybean thrashing machines are now available in some areas though still in a few numbers.
For every ten bags of thrashed soybeans, one bag is given as a fee for the usage of the machine in thrashing.
Sadly, heaped Soybeans are sometimes consumed by wild bushfires hence loss to farmers. Pricing is still a talk among farmers since it doesn't seem fine compared to the prices of inputs.

The largest Onion market in Ghana is located in Accra.
This market is called the Adjen Kotoku Onion Market.
The market is a very decent facility that hosts sellers and buyers and even transporters of the Onion from neighboring countries and towns.
Other vegetables are sold in the market.
Prices here are moderate unlike in other areas of the city.
The facility has created jobs for large number of people especially with women dominating the retail industry.

The final traditional funeral rites of the Father of Mr.Musah who works with Chemico fertilizer company happened today in the Nimoro community in the Sisaala West District of the Upper West Region of Ghana.

Whilst drone Nakeeyat undergoes surgery in the theater camera Banikoi Hudu was deployed to cover a typical Sisaala traditional funeral rites at Puzene in the Burkina Faso.
Traditional rites associated with the funeral of an elderly man in the puzene community were carried out.
Activities such as,killing animals to appease the ancestors(Kuchoren),Praise singing(Gogedene)Chiefs dance(Kuoro guole),women dance(janga) and many more.
