When I realised the sun ☀️ was setting at 5:16 p.m., I got ready and drove to Bakaano, a town gifted with both a lagoon and the sea 🌊!

From an aerial perspective, it is evident that Bakaano is home to the majority of the traditional British-style homes because it is within a ten-minute walk from the Cape Coast Castle.

The primary source of income for the indigenous people is fishing, which they combine with a few businesses such as restaurants, shops, bars, diners, and other government-run entities.

It’s interesting that, unlike in the past, the fishing industry along this coast is declining.

Make sure you capture a glimpse of this storied fishing settlement if you ever get the chance to visit Cape Coast.
