The male will be the husband (marriage contract) to the female applicant with a tier 2 Uk visa (5years). The dependent is entitled to a 5 years visa with which he can work and live in Uk. After the 5 years he can apply to live indefinitely with the British passport.
The marriage is just a contract so they can live separately but will have to use one address which could be the main applicant’s address and divorce after some time when they’ve both got their Uk papers and passports
