A unique thing about the Saronic gulf is that it is one of the major congregating areas for dolphins in the Greek seas. Dolphin spottings are an amazingly common occurrence during our tours here.

This amazing shot was taken on Dokos Island where we tied up to some rocks in a secluded cove and took a hike to the top of the mountain.

The island of Dokos is located across from Hydra island. It is nearly uninhabited, with only a tiny villiage hidden in the hills.

We love visiting this island for its secluded bays and magical sunsets. For the adventurous types, you can hike to the villiage and take a look at the crash site of a German WW2 airplane. After the German pilots crashed in the village, despite being at war with Greece, the locals of Dokos showed their innate hospitality and fed them for days until the German pilots recovered and were able to leave safely.
