(FISKARDO-KARAVOMYLOS-MELISSANI LAKE-MINI MYRTOS BEACH)
This cruise is alongside the Southeast coast of Kefalonia up to the northern point of Fiskardo. This part of Kefalonia is truly one of its hidden treasures. The landscape is unique! Dense forestation touching the waterfront on small secluded beaches; and every now and then a small boat appears. This part of the island has not roads, no houses, and is almost untouched; virgin. We depart from the beach of Skala at 09.00 hrs.The journey from Skala to Fiskardo lasts about 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will stay in Fiskardo for about 1 hour and 30 minutes as well. A little bit later we will stop for about half an hour in the Ag. Sofias bay for swimming, diving and water sliding. It takes an other 20 min. cruise to reach the village of Karavomylos where we will stay for about 2 hours. This is enough time to eat but also to visit the Melissani lake, about 500m away from our docking point. Finally we will stop for another 30 min swimming at Mini MYRTOS BEACH on the way back. Around 16.30 hrs we will be back at Skala. Other times, we go first to Karavomylos and then to Fiskardo, but the rout and timetables still apply. ITHAKA CRUISE
(GIDAKI BEACH-VATHI-KIONI-FILIATRO BEACH)
Ithaka is the island associated throughout the world with Homer and Odysseus. Ithaka is not just an island; it is a world symbol of the destination, of the journey, of the adventure and of the nostalgia. Its king Odysseus is the main hero of the Odyssey and of the Trojan War. The DNA of his spirit follows the current Ithakian people. The coast line of Ithaka is impressive – sandy, secluded beaches surrounded by greenery and crystal clear waters. Our first destination is Gidaki beach probably the most beautiful beach in the island, just 1 mile from the capital Vathi. About 30 minutes to freshen up, take a dive and enjoy the waterslide. Next port of call is the Capital Vathi where we will stop for about one hour and 30 minutes. It takes another 20 minutes to reach the picturesque hamlet of Kioni, where you can swim and enjoy a tasty lunch at one of its traditional Tavernas around the harbour side. Finally you will enjoy a swim stop at Filiatro beach, on our way back. St Johns’ cape farewells us with impressive landscape filled with wild beauty. We will be back in Skala around 16.30 hrs.
