Βρίσκεται στο δυτικό τμήμα του νομού, στις ανατολικές πλαγιές του όρους Τυμφρηστός.
Υπάγεται διοικητικά στον Δήμο Μακρακώμης.
Στις 8 Αυγούστου του 1944 το χωριό καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς.
