Platanos, nestled on the Parnon ridge, is a charming, tiny village accessible only by foot. Wander through beautiful alleys, enjoy the local taverns, the stunning nature, and the annual Cherry Festival. 🌳🏞️

🍒 Cherry Festival Date: June 1, 2024🎉

Hiking Trails:
💒 Hidden Church: A 2 km walk from Platanos to a hidden church. From the village follow the track marked with a white cross and return the same way.
🌳 Spiliakia River: Walk along the clear river, swim, and return the same way. The map in the pictures shows the way to a lovely pool.
💦 Lipdia Falls: Not recommended this season. We'll publish a recommendation at the right time.

Agios Athanasios Chapel ⛪

Put your hiking boots and head to this adorable blue church overlooking Plaka and Lakkos bay! 🌊🏞️

Things you should know:
- At the highest point, you'll discover ancient village ruins, but don't stop there – the chapel is just 100 meters ahead! 🏛️
- You'll encounter two junctions (see photos). At both, keep to the left. 🛣️➡️
- The hike to the chapel takes about 1.5 hours, but the downhill return is a breezy 40 minutes. 🕰️🏃‍♂️

📍Directions:
Park your car at coordinates 37.143580, 22.877597. If you see the sign in the picture, you're in the right place! Follow the ancient, well-marked footpath from there to the chapel.
The green dot on the map in the pictures shows where the walking route begins.

Swim in clear waters, explore a secret cave, and jump off cliffs into the sea.

Fun Fact: Greeks call Phournaka Cave the 'lovers cave'! 💖

📍 Location: Search Google Maps: Tigani Beach & Phournaka Cave

How to reach the cave:
Option 1 - Cliff Jumping: Head to the north side of the beach where a short path leads to a view of the cave. The sea under the cliffs is deep, allowing you to jump straight into the cold water (at your own risk).
Option 2 - Through the sea: Navigate around the cliff located to the north side of the beach in any way you prefer (we're fans of SUP). 🌊

🥾Short walk to the breathtaking viewpoint in the old windmills of Leonidio
🌅A perfect spot to enjoy the sunrise in a full moon evening

📍Directions: Drive or walk from Leonidio to Lakkos. Just before the Lakos exit, you'll spot a dirt road suitable for vehicles (refer to map). Follow this path until you reach the sign shown in the pictures. From there, it's a comfortable 15 minute walk to the windmills.

We cleaned the beach as a community, we enjoyed the beautiful roads of the area, we learned how to make our own organic herbs healing paste and we explored the region by a unique cars tour 🇬🇷🥾🗺️⛰️

we are celebrating one month of our new tradition 🎉
once a week, a few hours of nature, culture, fun and good company.
November started with a farewell to the summer, we met at Plaka beach for a relaxed and sunny morning on the SUP.🌊
A week later the weather was not on our side and we had to adjust the activity - we changed the location and it turned out in our favor - with a pleasant company that included also two dogs we enjoyed a beautiful walk in the hidden canyon, it was so nice that we decided to do it again for those who missed it, look it up on December`s experience 😊
We continued to the carob coffee workshop, or maybe we should call it carob tea? ☕️ We collected, cut, grilled, cooked and drank the Carob drink but most of all enjoyed an amazing time with great company.
We ended the month with a Full-Moon hike, we walked to a panoramic viewpoint to watch both the sunset and the full-moon-rise at the same time. Words can’t describe the beauty of it.✨🌖

For December 2023 we are planning an agricultural volunteering, two hiking days and a bonfire to celebrate the shortest day of the year.

Cherry season is here! 🍒
We love that we can enjoy the views, weather, water and plants all at once!

This summer season is much too hot for trekking. So we enjoy beautiful places by doing short day hikes during the chiller hours of the day.
Pro's secret: that's also the prettiest hours of the day :)

Greek Family Vacation - The Nomia Experience, Kinda Way! 🇬🇷✨

We've been busy... and suddenly it has been a month since this lovely family was here. 🌼 We couldn't describe it better than they did:

"We planned a family vacation for a group of about 30 people - a multi-age group with a variety of needs and preferences. We chose the Leonidio area, and to our joy, we discovered NOMIA, who took care of every detail for us. They arranged a diverse range of activities that suited everyone, organized restaurants for us, catered to all our whims, and maintained constant communication to ensure everything went smoothly. We did so much - guided tours, climbing, SUP, yoga, a cooking workshop - and everything was amazing.

The NOMIA team was excellent. They created a unique experience that surpassed all our expectations. Highly recommended!"

Ending a day trail at a tavern?
Always a YES

A route, passing between nature, culture and history, goes through the shepherd villages of Paleochori, Agios Vasilios, Platanaki and Kosmas. Traveling along the Parnon, the forests, the blossoms and the streams in it. And end at Panaiotis Tavern in Kosmas Center, the loveliest people, and amazing food.
