New Extension - Call for Innovative Business Ideas in the fields of tourism, cultural and creative industries

Do you have a business idea and want to develop it? Do you want to receive comprehensive support in your first steps as a new entrepreneur? Then, you can submit your business idea here.
The Creative Opportunities in Tourism project with the acronym “COunT” announces the call for “Innovative Business Ideas in the tourism, cultural and creative industry sectors”, which will focus on supporting the establishment, initial operation or expansion of six (6 ) businesses (under establishment or existing).

The submission of proposals is extended until 4 December 2023 and will remain open until a sufficient number of applications are filled.

New Publication of the call for proposals for participating in the masterclasses on arts and crafts

The Development Agency of Florina S.A. | ANFLO re-announces the organisation of two masterclasses on arts and crafts in the city of Florina in November 2023 as part of the COunT project.

Applicants will be notified of their selection on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023.

Some of the Actions of the Project COunT to support the expected results are:

- Organisation of a joint tourism capacity seminar to support new
tourism entrepreneurs, focusing on - business skills, development of
new businesses, responsible tourist, local value chains and digital skills.

- Organisation of a series of masterclasses on arts and crafts that will focus on extending the local value chain in the sector. The masterclasses
will focus on traditional crafts and the utilization of new technologies
(3d printing, milling etc.) for customized and personalized memorabilia.

- Support for ten new businesses that will be hosted in the riverbank
kiosks in Veles and in the Resource center in Florina.

The project COunT aims to capitalize on the potential of the riverbanks as a
tourist attraction, supporting in the process new innovative ideas for tourist products.

The project has also the following specific objectives:

- Develop a new tourist attraction in the riverbanks of Veles

- Enhance the attraction of the Florina riverbanks

- Promote the city of Florina as an Arts Destination

- Support local innovative initiatives in the field of tourism arts and crafts
to start their own businesses

- Increase the competitiveness of local service providers

- Stimulate the creation of new tourism services

- Extent the local value chain in the art and crafts sector as a means to
achieve sustainable tourism development

Riverbanks can act as an asset for the development of tourism. The potential of the riverbanks as an attraction can be further capitalized for the development of sustainable touristic activities.

COunT is a project that capitalizes on the natural and cultural heritage of the cities of Veles and Florina to promote tourism and enhance employment in the two cities.

The project aims to bring added value to the local communities by creating touristic attractions and by promoting employability.
