The custom of Mrs. Lent is one of the oldest Greek customs associated with the celebration of Easter, which tends to disappear nowadays. Lady Lent is an improvised calendar for the days of Lent.

Because in the past they did not have today's calendars to measure the passage of fasting, they made a meter. In other words, they took a piece of paper and painted Lent like a nun, Mrs. Lent.

In most parts of Greece, Mrs. Lent was a paper painting depicting a woman, with seven legs, one for each week of Lent, with folded arms because she prays and with her mouth closed because she is fasting.
This calendar accompanied young and old in the fast that precedes the feast of Easter.
