Nikos is fully certified international mountain guide holding the
IFMGA / UIAGM / IVBV certification.
He is a member of the Austrian Mountain Guide Association and the Tiroler Bergsportführerverband - Sektion Innsbruck.
Nikos is qualified as an International Alpine and Telemark Ski Instructor from the Norwegian Ski School (DNS, Den Norske Skiskole) since 2002.
He started climbing at the age of fifteen. He studied Forestry at the University of Thessaly, but his passion for mountains led him to become a Mountain Guide.
His career started in 1998, as a National Mountain Guide and Federal Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor for the Hellenic Mountaineering and Climbing Association (EOOA).
Nikos has been on several expeditions on the Himalayas, Pamir, Karakorum and many other mountain ranges around the world and has at his credit hundreds of ascents and descents in the Alps, Dolomites and the mountain areas of Europe.
He has wide experience on granite, limestone, conglomerate, ice and snow by practising all the different mountain disciplines and for the past 25 years his appetite for climbing and skiing is never enough.
He has conducted Site-safety for industrial workers, workers at height, mountain environments and instructed military special force, fire brigade teams and rescuers.
Nikos speaks fluent Greek and English. He also flatters words in Italian, French and German.
He works full time as Mountain Guide and Climbing and Ski Instructor.
He loves to guide on technical climbs, specialising in small groups of one or two climbers, but the instructional courses he organises are for 2 to 6 people.
Nikos is always at your disposal to welcome and introduce you to the mountain world and sports, contributing with his knowledge and services in climbing and skiing.

What is a Mountain Guide
An IFMGA / UIAGM / IVBV Mountain Guide holds the highest qualification in mountain guiding, having followed a rigorous training on every mountain discipline, whether skiing, climbing or mountaineering.
This internationally recognized credential is allowed to be displayed only by UIAGM Mountain Guides.
The UIAGM guidelines represent the highest quality services in the mountain world.
These international mountain experts have also the highest authorisation to train individuals or groups on the activities of rock and ice climbing, alpinism, ski touring and off-piste skiing, via ferrata, glacier crossing, canyoning and any other activity related with the use of climbing - alpine - or ski equipment.
