Explore Crete with Yiannis!
‘Yiannis Guided Tours’ is the realisation of a dream and a passion that I had from my childhood, in the early 00’s, when I was doing lots of excursions in the countryside of my mother’s village. My dream was to offer guided tours in the countryside and in the mountains of Crete, offering the opportunity to tourists to explore the villages and the unique natural and cultural beauty of my island!
In 2017 I took the decision to return to my island and work professionally in the tourism sector, especially as a tourist guide, specialising in tours in the countryside and in gorges. Sharing with you my deep knowledge about Cretan nature and culture, as well as my big experience in mountain paths, the path E4 and gorges, is what would make me very happy!
Furthermore, I collaborate with tour agencies and van/mini bus drivers for our transfer, or we can do the tour with the car you have rented. And last but not least, I know local producers where you can buy homemade raki, raki with honey, honey, jams, local sweets, and of course extra virgin olive oil! All my excursions include lunch in traditional Cretan taverns in villages, a Cretan snack as a present from me, as well as meeting with local Cretan people!
