l remember forever. Guyana has for many years undeserved been overseen by the international traveller. This is the main reason for this website, where we wish in a modern and effective way to be able to offer some of the most thrilling and unexplored adventure tours in the world. The team is a mix of local guides and European tour leaders and together we have created tours inspired by expeditions, physical challenges, survival and trekking in this almost endless nature. The website fits perfect for the adventurous traveller who wants to get an acquaintance with the real Guyana. The purpose is to link the unique experiences of Guyana with the world-traveller and to show the almost untouched beauty of one of the world’s last frontiers of wilderness and pristine nature. Our biggest partners will always be the local communities and wonderful people of Guyana who have helped us making all this possible. Their kindness, hospitality and loving characters will ensure that all visitors will never forget a visit in the country. Everybody visiting the country will support Guyana’s aspiring tourism industry and help the local communities in the country. The money goes to sustainable tourism, catalyzing the rainforest to be worth more alive than logged and protect young local people from joining the dangerous and devastating large scale mining operations. Guyana tourist is created by Untamed Adventures inc. You can find more about our company on Utadventures.com or our social profiles like Tripadvisor or Facebook.

So this is one of the things you might be a bit more cautious about sharing waters with. The electric eel. They are spotted quite often on river tours in Guyana and they are just one of the many amazing animals to spot while being here. Did you now that the Electric eel is closer related to catfish than the eel many know from other parts of the world?

Electric eels are one of the 500 types of fish that are capable of producing electricity. They live in shallow, muddy areas of Amazon and Orinoco rivers in South America. They are not endangered.
