首家太空旅遊企業維珍銀河 (Virgin Galactic) ，已於10月28日在紐約證券交易所掛牌上市，創辦人英國富豪布蘭森(Richard Branson) 在證交所大廳現身，親自敲響交易鑼，並放煙花慶祝。

維珍銀河在Twitter寫道：「今天(28日)，我們又達成一項創舉，現在任何人都能投資太空時代的未來。早前我們已寫下幾項太空里程碑，包括由首席太空人指導員上陣，成為首位搭乘商務太空船的旅客。」

維珍銀河交易代號為「SPCE」，上市首日收報11.75美元，跌0.34%，市值9.69億美元（75.85億港元）。公司於2004年創立，計劃提供太空船無重力之旅，首批乘客每人票價25萬美元，至今已有603人預約，為維珍銀河進帳8,000萬美元。

維珍銀河創辦人Richard Branson於剛過去的2月19日終於正式宣佈：維珍銀河全新太空船已由著名科學家霍金教授正式命名為「Virgin Spaceship (VSS) Unity」！恭喜！恭喜！

連霍金教授都指如果可以坐呢艘太空船漫遊太空嘅話，都會覺得好驕傲呀！（ “I would be very proud to fly on this spaceship.”）

太空旅遊實在係指日可待！
