Established in 1994, The Hong Kong Sea Transport Association (HKSTA) is a non-profit organization with its membership drawn from shipping, freight forwarding and logistics companies. In recognition of the growing importance of logistics in Hong Kong, the Association is moving with the times by reflecting the ever increasing sophisticati
on of the industry and changing its name to the Hong Kong Sea Transport and Logistics Association Limited in May 2003. In May 2024, the English name of the association was officially changed to "Hong Kong Transport and Logistics Association Limited" (In short name: HKTLA). To organizing various seminar and workshop in which professional guest speakers to present the related shipping topics, visit the various terminals and port facilities, providing educational courses to enhance the professional standards of shipping and logistics industry in Hong Kong. Through it, shipping companies, forwarders, logistics and other agents have an authoritative voice and representation within the government and across industries in the private sector, both in Hong Kong and abroad. To promote, in general, the shipping industry and to help establish opportunities in new markets. HKTLA holds annual sports tournaments for members. HKTLA organizes an annual dinner every year during March to which all association members, representatives of shipping lines and freight forwarders, freight related liaison groups.The Association intends, therefore, to press on with its focus of promoting the members’ interest, to increase the levels of communication with the relevant authorities and other business associations. In addition, the Association would take a more active role in assisting members in the development of new businesses and to explore new markets.
香港航運物流協會成立於1994年，乃一非牟利機構，由一群義務的行內人士組成，隨著香港航運物流業已趨向多元化，爲了反映行業發展，於2003年5月改名爲香港航運物流協會有限公司，2024年5月本會英文名稱正式改為 “Hong Kong Transport and Logistics Association Limited” (簡稱HKTLA)。
本會成立不同工作小組服務會員[分別有會員事務及選舉小組、對外事務小組、公共關係小組、康樂體育小組、培訓小組、中小企業支援指導小組、貿易資訊及科技小組及青年領袖小組]，包括舉辦不同講座由專業嘉賓講者主持有關船務話題，參觀不同貨櫃碼頭和港口設施，提供訓練課程以提高香港航運物流業的專業水準。向香港政府表達其立場與意見，並爲同業建立共識和準則。對外推廣航運物流業的發展及拓展有關之業務活動。每年均爲會員舉行多次的球類競賽，以及各項參訪、展覽、研討、學術課程之活動，並推動會員在工余時間參加各項有益身心之體育運動，約於每年三月舉行盛大春節聯歡晚會。透過同有關各政府部門及其它團體更多交流，協助會員業務上諮詢。本會會採取更積極進取態度，探討會員在目前航運物流業市場上發展空間，以確保本會服務更完善。
