My closest friend always tells me to "enjoy the process" and not worry too much about the outcome. To me this is the very essence of climbing. Totally enjoyed the first three attempts on this stellar line called "Exhale, 7A" here in Thailand a varied climb with crimps, laybacks, gastons and a crux dyno. Each attempt was to figure out one specific move and trying to understand how to do it with the least amount of exertion. The forth attempt was a bit like sitting in Church, closest thing to meditation. I was completely focused on what I had learned and resting after every hard pull and breathing from the inside. When I reached the final crux I was surprisingly rested and deep inside I knew that I would get it this time. Clipping the chains was the sweetest moment - onsights be damned. I'm happy to learn with multiple attempts.
