Wordie House, Antarctica. Constructed in 1947, this living time capsule still contains supplies from its last occupants before the dwelling was abandoned in the 1950s. Cans of coffee, records, tools, paint cans, plates, books, typewriters, radio equipment, and other items still remain in the hut. Here our guests explore this fascinating place.

Vogue Brasil journalist Check-in Camilla Guebur recently travelled to Antarctica with Swan Hellenic as part of her ‘Check In’ travel series.
Her report is in Portuguese, but for non-speakers, this is a little of what she had to say about her experience:
“I spent twelve days aboard the most opulent ship in the world, as I travelled through the black waters and white islands of Antarctica.
The onboard team are flawless in everything they do.
I speak here of everyone involved and must emphasise that the guides have scientific training and teach their subjects with incredible passion.”
