Local hands.

Everything you see in this post was made by local hands and can be found around Exit Strategy. When we set out to decorate our little island home, it was very important to us to not only support the local economy but also to showcase the incredible talent of the people of this special island.

Some of these pieces can be found being sold along the beach or side of the road, in the talented hands that can bring the life out of the wood, and some of them are even made from recycled materials found in the local dump! But all of them can only be found on Roatan.

Doing a tiny bit of shopping from home for the things I'm very particular about in our rentals- bedding and sheets mainly, and then will shop locally around the island for artwork, decor and finishing touches to our new home!

This Is the bedspread and the beginning piece that was selected as the anchor for the decor for Exit Strategy.

Can't wait to get down there and make it OURS!

I haven’t really posted any pics from the inside of our home, honestly because it needs a deep clean and a revamp. It needs some love that I plan on giving it when we go back down in a few weeks.

A decor upgrade with locally made art, furniture and goodies, a bit of elbow grease and this beauty will have the luxury and exotic feel that you would expect from a Honduran vacation rental 💛
