INFORMATION ABOUT THE OPERATION OF FACILITIES IN PAKLENICA NATIONAL PARK IN MAY🙂

✅Forestry house "Lugarnica" (working hours: 10:00-17:00). Lugarnica is a simple catering facility owned by JU National Park Paklenica, and is located right next to the Velika Paklenica stream, along the main hiking trail in the Velika Paklenica canyon. It is about 4 km from the main parking lot.
Payment for services in Lugarnica is made in cash, so we recommend that you take it with you when you go to the mountain.

✅Manita peć cave - pay attention to the working hours of the cave, which is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The ascent from the main parking lot to the cave takes an hour and a half.
The reason for the cave's three-hour working hours is to preserve and protect the cave, because longer working hours increase the temperature in the cave by 1 ˚C; longer operation of lighting promotes the development of lampenflora, and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the cave increases with the increased number of visitors.

Na području Nacionalnog parka Paklenica postoji 150 - 200 km planinarskih staza i putova, od onih turističkih koje iz kanjona Velike Paklenice vode do špilje Manite peći, šumarske kuće Lugarnice i planinarskog doma Paklenica, do planinarskih koji vode do najviših velebitskih vrhova. / National Park Paklenica area contains 150 - 200 km of hiking trails and paths, from those leading from Velika Paklenica canyon to Manita peć cave, Lugarnica foresters house and Paklenica Mountain hut, to those leading to the highest peaks of the Velebit Mountain. 🏞

Podgradina is situated in the middle of a rhomb created by four national parks: 36km to NP Paklenica, 50km to NP Kornati, 70km to NP Krka and 120km to NP Plitvice Lakes. The ancient core of the city of Zadar is 27km away, while Zadar Airport is at a distance of 23km.
