Our Story
Vinko Bakija (Ph.D.)was born in Zadar (Croatia). He graduated from Faculty of Philosophy in Zadar thus gaining the academic title of Lecturer of Sociology and French Language and Literature. Finished his postgraduate studies of „International Tourism in National Economy“ at the Faculty of Economics & Business in Zagreb in 2010 and acquired the title of Master of Science in Economics. In 2017 he has completed his PhD in Sociology (Sociology of regional and local development).
From 2003 till 2005 worked as an associate lecturer at the Faculty of Economics in Split (teaching the Sociology of Tourism), and since 2005 works at the Department of Tourism and Communication Sciences at the University of Zadar, teaching several subjects: Introduction to tourist culture, Sociology of Tourism, Leisure studies, Tourism and Globalization, Travel Agencies and Tour operators, Urban Tourism, Cultural Tourism and Cultural Events Management. He is the author of several scientific and professional papers and he participated in several international scientific conferences.
Vinko has more than 30 years of experience in the sector of tourism (Club Méditerranée, tourist agencies, director of tourist board; tour operator representative in a tourist resort; owner of a tourist agency; tour manager, guide-lecturer, etc.). He is an active educator of tourist and tour guides at the University of Zadar, working as heritage interpreter and storyteller in Zadar, Šibenik and Split Counties, as well as tour manager for the whole Croatia and neighbouring countries. He is engaged by Saga, Martin Randall Travel, Trafalgar, Gohagan & Company, Globus, Rivages du Monde, Intermedes, Clio Voyages etc. Vinko offers a memorable and transforming experience for visitors and business partners. Vinko BAKIJA est né à Zadar, en Croatie. Il est diplômé de la Faculté de Philosophie de Zadar où il a obtenu le titre de Maître de conférences en sociologie et en langue et littérature françaises. Après avoir fini le Master "Tourisme international dans l'économie nationale" de la Faculté d'Économies et de Business de Zagreb en 2010, il a obtenu le grade de Master en Sciences. En 2017, il devient docteur en sociologie du développement durable local et régional.
De 2003 à 2005, il a travaillé comme chargé de cours à la Faculté d'Économies de Split (intitulé du cours : Sociologie du tourisme), et depuis 2005, il travaille comme maître de conférence au Département du Tourisme et des Sciences de la Communication à l'Université de Zadar où il est en charge des cours de : Introduction à la culture du tourisme, Sociologie du tourisme, Sociologie des loisirs, Tourisme urbain, Tourisme culturel, Tourisme et mondialisation, Agences de voyages, Gestion des événements culturels. Il est l'auteur de plusieurs articles scientifiques et professionnels et il a participé à de multiples conférences et colloques scientifiques internationaux. Vinko est aussi l'auteur de deux routes culturelles faites pour le comitat de Zadar dans le but de développement du tourisme culturel.
