And everything passes with the speed of lightning. I guess because we had a good time. A deep bow to the group that was ideal and a big thank you for the patience, understanding, for enjoying Croatia and the fantastic time together we spent together . New friends found. Annual vacation in sight.
Amazing Korcula Island with its turquoise bays, black forests, rocky ravines, well-kept olive groves and authentic vineyards. To this exciting day we added an explosion of history and customs of the city of Korcula. A night across the canal, in neighboring Orebić, after swimming and tasting seafood delicacies. One more day of cycling to finish a great Tour .
One busy afternoon and a wonderful night in Split, then back to the islands, to the pleasant bay of Vela Luka.
A beautiful day in the Krka National Park, a circular ride with 4 different ascents and many variations in natural scenery . Lunch at the tank that the Croat soldiers hijacked from the JNA aggressor, then stories about that time and return to picturesque Skradin.
Goodbye Zadar, we had a nice time but the Krka river is far away. Summer is back, it warms the asphalt , not making it easier but we have a strong pace so we arrive in Skradin relatively quickly. There were some flat tires today but also good enogastronomy to end a long day.
Jebena bura , one Chris would snarl participating in this classic Croatian tour years ago . This bura wind paralyzed us so we had to cancel a night on Pag and extend one on Rab island . Another day in paradise as one of the guests described this move . So today we fought our way through the gusts of wind, swung twice on ferries and danced on bicycles on the challenging Pag bridge. And the group!? No problems with changes and unexpected situations , enjoying everything at full speed. I hope they will also enjoy Zadar, our new host.
The sun can't always shine, today we got a little bit of everything in terms of weather but the sudden flood in the streets of Lopar a minute before lunch impressed us the most. Then we dried off, ate a bunch of calamari and pressed the pedals once more to stop in the beautiful town of Rab and the Valamar chain hotel of the higher category so we took advantage of all the delicacies at the usual happy hour and enjoyed some champagne .
We are back in the embrace of one of the favorite islands . The clouds threatened, flew over us but our plans were different and we defied the threats and enjoyed the splendor of nature. Adriatic fish and seafood delicacies will confirm the beauty of this day. No stress on Cres .
All the best of Istria on one plate in one day. Motovun, Gracisce, downhills into colourfull valleys, tricky ascents rewarded by beautiful panoramas of green Istria. A soft southern wind but the sun was not shy either. There were bikes with mechanical problems but somehow we made it to the proud, former mining town of Labin.
Home ground, a tour that belongs to the classics and a promising group of riders . The road to Dubrovnik is open. Islands, the blue of the Adriatic, the karst of the interior, all this and a lot more awaits us on the way through Croatia. On the first day, after the rain clouds parted, we worked our way between medieval hilltop towns of Terra Magica, the Istrian peninsula. Motovun welcomed us bathed in the sun and ready to listen to our fresh adventures. .
And then suddenly in the embrace of magnificent Budapest , the end of a unique adventure in Central Europe. Beautiful company and good support helped bring another tour to the end. We are returning home and my faithful cyclists, as usual, will again scatter around the world. See you soon.
Good day once again Danube, we cycle in the embrace of your strength and greatness. The town of Tata was a good host and its vineyard hills made us sweat, at least for a while. In Visegrad on the Danube, we are making preparations for the farewell day.
We conquered the Hungarian Puszta's and enjoyed the imposing, historical center of Gyor. Various gulasch stews started to be part of everyday life. Tata is a nice place on a peaceful lake. Life here is not too hectic, I think we will soon adapt.
We spent 2 days touring the Neusiedler lake , conquering the steppes and puszta's around the lake, fighting the winds of various directions. A little bit of Hungary, a little bit of Austria but mostly carefully arranged vineyards and cute , peaceful villages on our menu .
Family guesthouses provided us with a warm bed and some tasty delicacies but now it's time to head towards the goal, along the Danube towards Budapest.
We remember the classic an der schonen blauen Donau. Good day Slovakia and thank you for the welcome cycle path that takes us along the Danube to lively Bratislava. More or less cloudy day, quite a few kilometers in the legs, but once again successfully to the finish line.
Somehow we quickly get attached to the location but we can't stay here forever because there is so much to see and try. Thank you Czech Republic, for your hospitality and relaxation, good day Austria and cheers to the wines of the Weinviertel. Wine tasting and joint dinner before a new challenge tomorrow , Slovakia.
The heat has reached its maximum, we make our way through the lowlands towards the vineyards of Moravia , the birches provide us with a little shade and salvation. In the heart of winegrowing the picturesque town of Mikulov and the Volarik hotel welcome us with a refreshing culinary offer. Tomorrow we have a day off.
A tough day but inspired by natural beauty my cycling companions conquered the Czech kilometers without any objections.
Today we climbed a lot but kept returning down to the valley and the embrace of the river Dyie.
Refreshed ourselves a little in Vranov, a picturesque place whose huge castle watches over the river and finally entered Znojmo, whose castle has been turned into a brewery so there should be no reason not to visit another in a series of picturesque, historic town centers.
The best of Bohemia and Moravia in one day, hills dance from forest to forest and village churches defying time. The Czechs diligently arrange their gardens in the modest villages that are on our way. A new explosion of cultural heritage at the new host, the city of Telč , a town under UNESCO protection. We will round off the day with a beer tasting.
When summer comes to an end, it's time to pack up and go on a new tour. Central Europe Tour , starting in the forests of southern Bohemia, some new faces, some old faces at the start in Krumlov, beer and dumplings and on the road to Jindrichuv Hradec. Unbearable heat, fish ponds everywhere and historic, baroque squares are the main protagonists of the first day of the new adventure.
Unfortunately here is the end of something special. Slovenia 23 cycling tour gave us a lot of good and we enjoyed it to the finish . Piran was the last host we arrived at, avoiding the rain for almost the whole day . Swimming, aperitifs, congratulations, speeches and delicious food from the Adriatic Sea to complete the tour . I hope that the participants will keep a good memory of this adventure .
Soča followed us to Most, and then we made our way through the dense forest and slid down the plateau near Cepovan. The day was in the sign of the wind, which further justified its existence in the Vipava valley. Majerija is a unique accommodation near the village of Slap, where we experienced a specific eno-gastro evening .
The legendary Vrsic pass surrendered to us after a long battle. An ascent filled with tears and sweat but immeasurable pride and happiness at the top. At 1,611 m above sea level, congratulations and taking pictures and then the wind in your hair on the long descent to the turquoise Soča. The Trenta Valley shines with beauty and in Bovec follows a rest from everything experienced. I hope that we will have a well-deserved rest in Kobarid.
We were a little late to join the Giro but everything here is still in the sign of the maglia rosa . Through 3 countries today within fifty kilometers. Coffee in Austria , lunch in Tarvisio and return to Slovenia on a bicycle highway. Also seen the
ski track where world cup races are held. A special dinner awaits us in an authentic setting.
A final farewell to Bled with another tour of the lake. The valley of the river Radovna offers us a hug and fresh air. On the farm at Psnak fresh chocolate cake , Turkish coffee and some schnapps. After these delicacies a steep climb and afterward along the former railway towards Kranjska Gora where the traditional welcome of Mrs. Milena awaits us at the Blenkus guesthouse .
Bled - Bohinj route. My favorite villages towards Stara Fuzina. Kozoleci , the hayracks are still empty. Kayaks and boats with wooden oars are rocking on the lake. Time stands still. And everything is watched from above by the snow-covered master of the mountains, His Highness Triglav.

Another adventurous day. We turned our bikes in the direction of Africa and arrived in Sagres in the very south of Portugal. Hotel Memmo has all possible services. View of the fishing port and the blue sea. Tomorrow, the day off could be spent resting and swimming, since the atmosphere here is already quite summery.
