Nikola Tesla 🤵🏻‍♂️ (1856-1943) was born in the town of Smiljan, located 127 miles from Zagreb, but he became naturalized American citizen in 1891. On his last visit to Europe, he made a stop in Zagreb to deliver a speech emphasizing the vital importance of electricity, especially alternating current (AC).💡
It would be an understatement to say that he was ahead of his time. He was a true visionary and he famously said: "The present is theirs; the future, for which I really worked, is mine." ⚡
