One of the frequent reasons why visas get denied is due to a suspicion the applicant may not return to their home country.

The global rejection rate shot up from 5.1 percent in 2014 to 13.4 percent in 2021 , according to Schengen Visa statistics. The Schengen countries France, Germany, and Spain had the highest number of visa applications in 2021.

The top three countries with the highest rejection rates were Syria, Ghana and Nigeria. Yes Ghana!

The Schengen Visa code grants rejected visa applicants the right to file an appeal. Appealing to a rejected visa application doesn’t mean the previously handed rejection decision will be overturned.

That’s where our assistance comes in handy.

Q. What is a Schengen visa?
A. A Schengen visa is a short-stay visa that allows a person to travel to any members of the Schengen Area, per stays up to 90 days for tourism or business purposes.

The Schengen visa is the most common visa for Europe. It enables its holder to enter, freely travel within, and leave the Schengen zone from any of the Schengen member countries. There are no border controls within the Schengen Zone.

Q. Do I need to apply for a Schengen visa if i am travelling to study (even a short-time course)?
If you are planning to study, work, or live in one of the Schengen countries for more than 90 days, then you must apply for a national visa of that European country and not a Schengen Visa.

Attention:

The German Embassy informed that from 1 November, Academic Evaluation Centre (APS) certificates will be a mandatory part of the documents to be submitted with your visa application. That is, applicants need to have the APS certificate handy before applying for the visa. Application for the same will open from 1 October.

If you are applying for German colleges or universities, it is important to note that new appointment slots for student visas will open soon through VFS Global, the embassy informed. However, from now on, the visa applications will need some additional documentation. The measure has been taken simply to accelerate admission and visa processing.

Q. What to expect on the day of your Schengen visa application submission & interview.

A. Nothing different from what your purpose of travel, facts of your travel itinerary, stated details on your application & details of your travel. In fact its more of a submission than an interview, just that you will be asked about the same details of the things you wrote not non-relating questions.

If you wrote ### on your application so should your words be in your interview. If you were assisted during the application procedure by a 3rd party, get the gist/briefing before you go.

Dear Visa Applicants,
The fact that you said/wrote something during/on your visa interview/ application doesn’t make it true or compulsory for the consular office to believe your words. The keyword is legally valid proof.

The fact that you have ###x amount in your bank account doesn’t justify the proof of source. Even if its millions of dollars, you can still be denied Visa.

The fact that you have a shop at Kejetia or Circle and you deposit sales revenue everyday into your bank account doesn’t render your bank statement a valid proof of financial capacity to sponsor a travel regardless the balance sitting in your account. You must prove the legality via business registration, tax clearance and certificate of such enterprise which churns such monies before you can justify the funds sitting in the bank account. After that, the sufficiency of funds could be looked at.
These are 2 separate criteria looked at by the compliance team/consular office

The fact that you have a relative in Europe or US doesn’t mean such individual can invite you for a visit. The inviting relative needs to meet the required legal residency status & to be in the valid legal & financial capacity to host you the guest.

Proving strong ties to Ghana is one of the several factors they consider in visa decisions not the only factor. This could be an economic and social ties or both.
