Foodies Budapest Tour - Our Program Overview !

Part I - Nagy Vasarcsarnok / Market Hall

We enter the market and head upstairs to get an overview of this Aladdin's cave of Hungarian flavors. We'll learn about the history of the market, its description, and the itinerary of our visit. Group photo followed by a shot of Palinka to break the ice (history and tasting of Palinka in Hungary).

1st Food Step: Retes - History of Retes and Turo and its use in Hungarian savory/sweet gastronomy.

2nd Food Step: Porc Teperto

3rd Food Step: Hungarian charcuterie board.
Wine - Pogacsa and smoked cheese Karavan.

4th Food Step: Tasting workshop of Savanyusagok in the market's basement - quick visit to the fish/wild meat area, etc.

Part II - Deak & Gozsdu Udvar

A shot of Palinka to give us courage and energy for the delights to come! Tram ticket and stop at Deak (about 15 minutes journey).

5th Food Step: Langos - History of Langos and tasting !

6th Food Step: Kurtoskolacs Stand - In the old Hungarian cabins, just like in the past!

Part III - Vigado Ter / The Danube & The Castle

We then walk with our Kurtoskolacs through the fashion street to Vigado ter - We'll enjoy our chimney cake while savoring the bubbles of our Hungarian champagne, the Pezsgo!
