January is usually a quiet month for us – a time to focus on office work, reflect on the past year, and plan for the new one. But not this year! January 2024 has been anything but silent; it's been filled with hustle, travel, new connections, and crafting tour proposals from dawn till dusk.

We kicked off the year with a whirlwind visit to ! As proud members of the
SKAL International Hungary & Budapest , we had the opportunity to join the
Skål International Hamburg Club's annual New Year Gala Dinner and witness the twinning ceremony between the two clubs. The city welcomed us with open arms, with Skål "Welcome to Hamburg" signs shining bright, even in Hungarian!

Our time in Hamburg was nothing short of amazing. We explored the city, took part in a fascinating guided Hamburg city tour on both land and water (finally checking off that "Hafen tour" from my bucket list – thanks, Barkassen-Meyer !). The B2B workshop and networking dinner opened doors to new business contacts, and we're grateful for the warm hospitality of our local hosts. (and thanks also to Avalon Car(e) Rental for the comfortable minibus that shuttled us back and forth).🌐✨

Just returned from a wine tour from Wachau / Austria and what a nice suprize was waiti g me on my desk!😉😍 I have been in 2015 in Dobrogea and the only winery I could visit (after lot of calls and organization) was the Murfatlar winery. They were really surprized that somebody having holiday on the beach was interested in a winery visit.😅. But seems wine industry and wine tourism is developing in Dobrogea as well.

🍗🍢🥧 During the weekend, the 2 Michelin star restaurant of the Hungarian countryside, Platán Gourmet Restaurant will host the finest countryside restaurants (Stílusos Vidéki Éttermiség) and local producers for a culinary and wine picnic in the Esterházy Castle Park of the town Tata.

🥂🍾🍷Of course, beside the great foods, you can taste also excellent wines! The members of the Pannon Bormíves Céh (Pannon Wine Guild) and the best wineries of the Neszmélyi Borvidék Wine Region will bring their wines to the event.

Tata is only one hour away from Budapest, it can be easily reached by car or train.
