Sadly, in line with the new Covid restrictions, all our guided walks are cancelled until the situation gets better. With the museums, cafés and cultural spaced closed, it seems there is nowhere to go, but don't forget that Budapest has lots of green to offer. Yesterday we went for an easy 3km hike around Szépjuhászné following the yellow trail. On the way we stopped by two lookout points and a cave where a monk used to live in the 15th century. Szépjuhászné can be accessed by public transport (bus 22A) and the Children's Railway stops there too. Don't let the weather put you off, spend as much time outdoors as you can, as long as you still can!

Looking for a romantic forest getaway? The Zemplén Mountains in the North of Hungary offer untouched nature, great hiking and authentic villages.
20 kms from the town of Sátoraljaújhely, Kőkapu hides a hunting lodge dating back to the 1880s, converted into a hotel. It is served by a romantic forest railway from the nearby village of Pálháza. A perfect spot for recharging batteries, signal-free relaxation guaranteed!

Do you know Gul Baba's tomb in Buda? It is one of the few remaining Ottomans sites in the capital today. Known as "The father of roses", legend has it that the Ottoman Bektashi dervish poet was the first to introduce roses to the area.
This weekend would be a good time to visit as the Rose Days will be held on the site with concerts, exhibitions and workshops.
