Taman Ayun Temple
Taman Ayun means a beautiful water garden. It was built in 1634 by I Gusti Agung Anom, the King of Mengwi as a center of the temples in the whole kingdom. This place is a symbol of Bhuana Alit (Micro cosmos) and Bhuana Agung (Macro cosmos), and until these days this place is still used as place to worship God Shiva.

Pupuan Rice Terrace
Pupuan is located in the western part of Bali, a place to fill your eyes with awesome memories of great landscape accompanied by no one other than the friendly local farmers.
Description :
Pupuan is best enjoyed early in the morning or late in the afternoon on a clear day. When rainy, fog usually follows the rain and obscures the whole village. With the arrival of the planting season, the local cultivators start plowing their fields adding traditional culture to the scenery. The cultivators have retained their old way of cultivating their land with the help of buffalo. As padi grows profusely in the area, a deep green covers the landscape, resembling a vast emerald rug laid on the slopes of the hills. The cultivators of these crops share an intimate relationship with nature. At harvest time, the cultivators cut the paddy with traditional equipment called "anggapan". Standing in rows, they sing while they glean their harvest.
How to Get To Pupuan Rice Terrace
1. 2 hours from Denpasar
2. 1 hours from Tabanan
3. 1 ½ hours from Tanah Lot Temple
What You Can See Around Pupuan Rice Terrace
1. Tanah Lot is one of the important and venerated sea temples. The name Tanah Lot is probably from ” Tanah laut ” means land in the sea. It is the fact that the strong sea abrasion has separated the temple area with Bali mainland, so it looks that the temple nests on a small speck of rock building up on the ocean. The temple perched on a little rocky islet, look superb whether delicately lit by the dawn light or starkly outlined at sunset. But can it ever live up to the hype! For the Balinese, Tanah Lot is one of the important and venerated sea temples. The spectacular location of Tanah Lot is possibly the best known and most photographed temple on Bali. The tourist crowed here are phenomenal, especially at sunset, and the commercial hype is terrible. Tanah Lot sunset tours are heavily promoted in all tourist areas.
2. Monkey Forest Kedaton, Alas Kedaton or "Holy Monkey Forest" is a small Forest measuring about 12, 00 ha. There are hundreds of monkeys in this forest and high up on the big trees many bats ate hanging and singing with their loud voices. In this Forest is an old temple what we called Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton Temple is one of the important and attractive temples amongst thousand of temples all over Bali.
3. Taman Ayun Temple, The huge state temple of Pura Taman Ayun surrounded by a wide moat, was the main temple of Mengwi kingdom, which survived until 1891 when it was conquered by the neighboring kingdoms of Tabanan and Badung. The temple was originally built in 1634 and extensively renovated in 1937. It’s very large and spacious, and the elegant moat is an unusual feature. The first courtyard is a large, open grassy expanse and the inner courtyard has a multitude of Merus (multi-tiered shrines).

Bali Padang Padang beach is located at Jalan Labuan Sait, in the village of Pecatu, Bali. Located not too far from the tourist area of Uluwatu. Arriving near the entrance of Uluwatu Travel, we take the road turn right. Follow the directions, to see that underneath the bridge looks the beach. Upon entering the area of Padang-Padang beach, we passed a temple. Interestingly, to get to this beach, we had to descend the stairs are made in the cliffs. After a few yards down the stairs we are greeted by the sun. It turns a dark alley behind the beach there is incredible beauty. The waves that roll, rock-breaking waves, and the sky is captivating. Towards dusk, we could see a beautiful sunset view, as if the sun is swallowed by the ocean.
Bali Padang Padang Beach is one of the best beaches in Bali in addition to dreamland, Kuta and Nusa Dua. White sandy beach stretching ahead of you, clear blue water and flat, perfect for swimming. Sand white color contrasts with the black rocks and blue sea exotic. The beach was clean, quiet atmosphere and crystal clear waters will make us feel at home after a long time to swim and sunbathe here. The more the light rays of the sun adds to the more exotic blue waters are shown. A bright blue sky and white clouds forming harmonization beautiful scenery. Visible in the distance the boulder clusters, this is so beautiful. Large boulders are scattered along the coast.
Around the stretch of sand beach, you can find some tents that sell food and drinks, and renting surfboards. The extent of Kuta beach area is not, but this is what makes this beach so special. If you enjoy the sunset at the beach with a few other visitors around you it will feel like a private beach. The scenery was almost similar to the views of the beaches in Thailand. Although the standard has a secluded beach for a shore facility from the shower, toilet, as well as lifeguard or lifeguards.
Padang Padang beach is popular starting around 1996's from the music group Michael Learns To Rock took this beach as one of the set of their video clips. Not long ago, actress Julia Roberts is also shooting at the beach for his new movie Eat, Pray and Love that has been released in 2010.

Bali volcano, also referred to as Kintamani volcano or Mount Batur as a whole, is a popular sightseeing destination in Bali's central highlands. The magnificent views of the 13sqm Batur caldera lake serves as the main attraction, surrounded by the captivating Mount Batur range.

You can find plenty more reasons to linger around the crater itself, while those with a penchant for adventure can also take a winding road down along the lake shore to Toya Bungkah, Ulun Danu Batur temple, and a collection of hot springs.

The Kintamani area consists of three main villages, namely Penelokan, Batur, and Kintamani. There are also some old Balinese villages around Batur Lake, often referred to as Bali Aga villages. Penelokan is a popular stopover, serving as a vantage point at the southernmost of the crater rim, offering sweeping views over the Bali volcano.

Penelokan serves as the best site to enjoy the panoramas, with its combination of dark lava slopes and black molten rocks, lush green vegetation and the blue-green coloured lake. There are also hotels and restaurants here at 1,500 metres above sea level.

Mount Batur comprises three volcanic cones: Batur I, Batur II, and Batur III. Trekking and hiking as well as observing the sunrise are all popular pastimes. The large and beautiful Batur caldera lies on the northwest. Caldera II is circular-shaped, spanning at least seven kilometres in diameter.

Lake Batur is on the southeast side of the volcano, 16 kilometres wide and is a popular fishing spot. Toyobungkah has hot lakeside hot springs, known for its curative mineral water. It is a popular choice among trekkers to spend the night before hiking up Mount Batur to watch the sunrise.

West of adjacent Mount Abang is the secluded old Balinese village of Trunyan, known for its ancient burial traditions using an open graveyard. The Pancering Jagat Temple is an interesting stopover while in Trunyan, with its name derived from a four metre-tall statue called ‘Arca Da Tonta’ or ‘Ratu Gede Pusering Jagat’.

Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring
It is located at Tampaksiring village at the cross road to Tirta Empul. From this cross road you go down a small path toward Pakerisan River about a quarter of an hour on foot and you get to Gunung Kawi. 34 km from Denpasar
Descriptions :
In the bottom of this lush green valley is one of Bali's oldest and largest ancient monuments. Gunung Kawi consists of 10 rock-cut Candi (shrines): memorials cut out of the rock face in imitation of actual statues. They stand in 7m/23ft-high sheltered niches cut into the sheer cliff face. A solitary Candi stands about a kilometer further down the valley to the south; this is reached by a trek through the rice paddies on the western side of the river. Each Candi is believed to be a memorial to a member of the 11th-century Balinese royalty, but little is known for certain. Legends relate that the whole group of memorials was carved out of the rock face in one hard-working night by the mighty fingernails of Kebo Iwa. One theory is that the whole complex is dedicated to Anak Wungsu, his wives, concubines and, in the case of the remote 10th Candi, to a royal minister.
How to Get To Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring
1. 1 hour from Sanur
2. 1 hour from Kuta
3. 30 minutes from Ubud
What You Can See Gunung Kawi Tampaksiring
1. Gunung Kawi Sebatu, this temple was built in homage to the God of preserver (Wisnu), who rules over water, and here one finds a number of natural spring and waterspouts. The Balinese believe that water is one of the forces of life. The etymology of Gunung Kawi means a fabricated mountain.
2. Goa Gajah (elephant cave) located two kilometers east of Ubud , this complex overlooks the Petanu river and consists of a SiSwati rock-cut cave, a bathing place, a monks’ chamber, a number of Buddhists rock cut Stupa and statues , and several foundations.
3. Goa Garba, the complex can be entered via steep steps through a gateway at the back of the Pengukur-ukuran temple in the village of Sawah Gunung. One arrives at a hermitage consisting of three caves with slanting roofs.
4. Yeh Pulu, the relief is carved on rock, located near Goa Gajah, between rice field and ravine. The site was rediscovered in 1925. In 1949 a simple protection was laid out to avoid water flowing on the surface of the relief. It looks like panel with the size of 25 x 2 meters.
5. Arma Museum, the paintings in this catalogue have been selected from the collection of Agung Rai. The collection as a whole, with works dating from the turn of the century to the present, gives the viewer a sense of the evolution of Balinese painting during the time, and of the range of modern Indonesian art.

Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) Temple
Goa Gajah or Elephant Cave is located in the southwest of Bedulu village, next to Yeh Pulu relief, 6 Km from Ubud Center. Known only the local villager and the bats during centuries of neglect, the cave was revealed tp the public in 1923. The bathing place was discovered and restored only in 1954 during archeological investigations done by Mr. Krijgsman. It had become filled in and a temple built upon it, which had to de moved to its present site. The spring and pond there have given the temple its name Pura Taman.
Carved with bugling eyes and high arched eyebrows. The eyes glance towards the west or the left as you face the cave. The large ear ornaments do not necessarily indicate a female face, for male royalty also wore such ornaments. This figure represents Boma (sometimes also called Kala or Sanskrit: Kittimukna), and its probably the earlies representation of this figure in Bali. According to Balinese texts (lontar), Boma is the son of the god Wisnu and the Goddess Basundari or Ibu (mother) pertiwi. Boma may be likened to the child of water and earth, for Wisnu is the god of waters and Parwati is the goddess of the soil or mother earth.

Tourism Comes to Bali
Many date the advent of modern tourism in Bali with the opening of the Hotel Bali Beach in 1963. Taking the lead from that “sky scraping” structure, small hotels, inns and restaurants soon began to take root across the Island. In 1970, Bali’s new Ngurah Rai Airport began formal operations. Sensing opportunities afoot, the provincial government of Buleleng took early seminal steps to obtain its share or Bali’s tourist market.
After disappearing from popular usage for nearly a decade, the name of “Lovina” to designate the sub-districts of Buleleng and Banjar came back into vogues in the 1990s. Lovina today includes the beaches at Binaria, Banyualit, Kubu Gembong, Hepi, Rukad Cebol, Temukus and Penimbangan. The simple dream of Panji Tisna in the 1950s to create an attractive international tourism beach destination in North Bali lives on today as Lovina continues to welcomes thousands of visitors each year

Jimbaran Beach
Description
Jimbaran is directly south of the airport, on the way from Denpasar towards Nusa Dua. Jimbaran village is the narrow neck of Bali Island, and thus it has two remarkably different beaches. On the west, Jimbaran Beach faces the Jimbaran Bay, recently lined by new luxurious resorts. On the east, the beach faces the body of water sheltered by Benoa Harbor. Jimbaran is a sleepy cove where fleets of fishing boats color the scene. Formerly a relatively quiet area, its image has improved dramatically with the opening of the beautiful Four Season's Resort and the Inter-Continental. The last couple of years, it has become even busier still with grilled seafood restaurants going up at a rapid pace along the beach, attracting local families and tourists in droves. Located on Bali's west coast, Jimbaran offers a small-secluded beach area, where tranquility and perfect peace is the perfect antidote to a stressful world. The land gently slopes away from the beach revealing exclusive celebrity haunts hidden under a canopy of leafy tropical forest. A popular spot for windsurfing and sailing small craft, which are available for rent, Jimbaran's grey sand and calm waters are attracting more people but the beach still has a sleepy feeling. A day at Jimbaran is made even more popular because of the all the wonderful options to eat. Choose from simple local food, the freshest fish or 5-star luxury. It is also a popular spot for sunset.
