Ours is a love story. Once upon a time, a boy in a place far away began his Journey. He ventured from the familiar European streets bolstered by his fearlessness and desire for adventure. When he arrived in Bali– the island of the gods and demons – he found his calling. Combining his passion for science and innovative ideas with his love of the ocean and nature, he learned the complex craft of sha

ping surf boards. Through shaping, he provided a vehicle for those, like him, to also experience the sheer beauty and peace that comes when one enters the world of surf. Thus, Journey Surf was founded – a place for the fearless pioneers who wander the globe searching for their place of belonging. During this time, a girl lived in a concrete jungle in an opposite corner of the world, dancing along a hedge of extremes – dabbling in this and that, but never quite finding a reason to stay in one place very long. Being an “experience junkie” , she set off on her Journey in search of something she never tried before. After series of twists and turns, of stumbles and falls, of dusting herself off and trekking along again; she fell upon the mystical island of Bali. When each of us look back on our individual journeys, there is that one moment of sheer serendipity. The unexpected occurs and you find your life has happily shifted its course and, after this moment, life will never ever be quite the same as it was before…. For her, it was the fateful meeting in Bali with a brilliant shaper of a small company called Journey Surf. Together they found in each other what they never knew but suspected was missing all along. There is indeed truth that we don’t know what we have until it is lost. But the opposite also applies: we don’t know what we are missing until we find it.

After Surf in New York, Industrie Night in montauks #Harbormtk . Just a casual wednesday!!!

a small wave for human mankind, the biggest wave for this person. It doesnt matter what everybody else thinks, as long as you are stoked!!!

What makes a surfer? Sick skill? 100ft Waves? Playing a ukelele? We just stumbled over a movie from a friend of ours. A young kid, from New York / Montauk. He went out on January 15th this year, in freezing cold ( and we mean freezing cold, not Ice bucket challenge warm) 2ft waves with his go pro, just for FUN! In our opinion, what makes a surfer? Having the time of your life in whatever conditions just for your own excitement! Well done Avery Martinensen, thank you very much!
