Baluran National Park is located in the Banyuputih region, Situbondo, precisely located in the north of Banyuwangi Regency. This national park is representative of forest ecosystems on Java that tend to be dry, such as savannahs, mangrove forests, seasonal forests, coastal forests and swamp forests.

For you lovers of photography you should come here during the dry season, in June-July-August because the water in the forest is dry, and the grass is yellow.

In the dry season, animals such as deer, bison, peacocks in the forest exit to the savanna. The National Park provides water and pools, so that in the dry season animals come out and be close to the road. The latest regulation states that the total area of ​​Baluran National Park is 29,041.68 hectares from 26,990 hectares of land and 2,051.98 hectares of sea waters,

According to its function, the Core Zone is designated as a sanctuary for Baluran National Park's wildlife habitat, namely Bull (Bos javanicus), and other animals namely Timor Deer (timorensis deer), Deer (Munticus muntjak), Leopard (Panthera pardus), Forest Dog (Cuon alpines), Pangolin (Manis javanica), Green Peacock (Pavo muticus) and Forest-green Chicken (Gallus gallus).

The Core Zone also functions to protect rare flora such as Trenggulun (Protium javanicum), Marelang (Pterospermum diversifolium), Bayur (Pterospermum javanicum), Candlenut (Aleurites moluccana), Neem (Azadirachta indica) and Aren (Arenga pinnata).

To see all species of animals and plants in Baluran National Park, visitors can enjoy it in the Jungle Zone in the form of research and conservation activities.

As for nature tourism activities, marine tourism, cultural tourism and other activities can be done in the Maritime Protection Zone and the Use Zone. Baluran is a unique and unique national park because it has diverse ecosystem types ranging from natural forests, seasonal forests, coastal forests, savannahs or grasslands to the waters. On Bama Beach we can rent a boat to get around the National Park. Besides that here is also a pretty good snorkeling spot, but you have to go a little to the middle and be able to see lots of fish and marine life.

If you want to see the maximum animals that are here, you better walk, because the animals here are very afraid of humans.
