Kelimutu National Park encircles three volcanoes lake and features some of Flores's most contrasting landscapes. The volcano contains three striking summit crater lakes of varying colors. Tiwu Ata Bupu (Lake of Old People) is usually blue and is the westernmost of the three lakes. The other two lakes, Tiwu Ko'o Fai Nuwa Muri (Lake of Young Men and Maidens) and Tiwu Ata Polo (Bewitched or Enchanted Lake) are separated by a shared crater wall and are typically green or red respectively. The lake colors vary on a periodic basis. Subaqueous fumaroles are the probable cause of active upwelling that occurs at the two eastern lakes.

Gunung Tambora, di Pulau Sumbawa Nusa Tengara Barat merupakan stratovolcano aktif yang menawan. Sejarah panjangnya sebagai gunung yang pernah meletus hebat 200 tahun lalu membuat gunung tersebut menarik perhatian para wisatawan, terutama para penyuka kegiatan petualangan.

Natrav Indonesia menggelar acara Thrill of Tambora 2016. Acara yang merupakan bagian dari dukungan terhadap Festival Pesona Sumbawa itu akan berlangsung selama 8 hari, yaitu 1-8 Mei 2016.

Dengan berbagai kegiatan tersebut diharapkan, keberadaan Gunung Tambora dengan ketinggian 2.851 meter di atas permukaan laut itu semakin mendapat perhatian dunia. Dengan demikian keberadaanya bisa meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan Nusantara dan mancanegara yang bermuara pada peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat.

Kekayaan alamnya, keindahan serta sejarah panjang keberadaan Tambora yang disebut sebagai “The Greates Crater in Indonesia” atau gunung berapi dengan kawah terbesar di dunia.

Perjalanan darat dimulai dari Pulau Lombok menuju ke Desa Pancasila. Pendakian dimulai dari Portal Rimba dan berakhir di Dasar kawah Gunung Tambora dengan kedalaman mencapai 1.100 meter. Sepanjang perjalanan akan disuguhi pemandangan alam yang menakjubkan. Sisa-sisa letusan 200 tahun yang lalu, akan menemani perjalanan seluruh peserta.

GILI KONDO is one of 33 small islands in eastern part of Lombok Island. From those many islands, there are only 3 islands serve as the best tourist destination. These ones called “Three Islands” or Tiga Pulau, i.e. Gili Petagan, Gili Bidara and Gili Kondo, located in the subdistrict Sambelia. This name convention was used in order be easier to remember by people.

The climate in these “Three Islands” are drier and hotter than mainland Lombok, but in the evening can be cool and refreshing. The rainy season is starting from the month of November to April.

The three islands, of course can be as challenging, beautiful and comfortable area to enjoy the panoramic view with many kind of birds, its white sand beaches that lie, including superb coral reefs.

In the future they will be expected become excellent tourism destination to be developed, as well as other tourist attractions are also fascinating. Gili Condo has a beautiful under water view which is not inferior to Gili Meno, Gili Air and Gili Trawangan.. If you want to snorkel in this area you will find different types of colorful fishes and spectacular coral reefs.

This tiny island can be reached via a wooden motor boat from the Sea Port of Kayangan at the east coast of Lombok Island, which took about an hour. While the mileage of Mataram, the capital of West Nusa Tenggara province to Port of Kayangan more than 100 kilometers, or about two hours travel by car.

The best time for traveling to Gili Kondo is in summer or the middle of the year. The waters are not too deep Gili Kondo, the water is clear, clean, and calm the waves.

When the water receded, we can even walk across to the island of Gili Bidara, which is located just about 500 meters from the East coast of Gili Kondo.

When the snorkel in Gili Kondo, we’ll see hordes of docile fish, coral reefs, colorful fish, and dozens of nemo. A unique, here are some black nemo, a type of clownfish or clown fish with darker hues.

Blambangan, Java East became one of the world's Biosphere Reserve

Biosphere reserve is the site designated by the various countries through cooperation programs of MAB-UNESCO to promote the conservation of biodiversity and sustainable development.

Biosphere reserves in Blambangan, Java East include three national parks (Alas Purwo, Baluran and Mount Meru) and reserves (Ijen crater) and terrestrial and marine ecosystems karst landscape featuring, Savannas, and forests of the alpine/subalpine, dry and the mountain (mountain), lowering the lowlands, beaches and mangrove forests. The site also features the seagrass and coral reefs. Food crops and horticulture, among the main economic activity along with the biosphere reserve of agroforestry (teak and mahogany).

Assignment at the Council of the International Coordinating Council (ICC) Program MAB (Man and The Biosphere) of UNESCO to 28 in the city of Lima, Peru, 18-20 March 2016. Along with some of the world's Biosphere reserves selected include: Algeria, Canada, Ghana, Haiti, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Spain, Tanzania, Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom and Indonesia

Pasti pernah mendengar gunung yang satu ini : Gunung Tambora, gunung yang terletak di Nusa Tenggara Barat tepatnya di Kabupaten Dompu, Pulau Sumbawa.

Tak hanya terkenal dikalangan lokal, tetapi juga di skala internasional. Gunung yang terkenal akan letusan 'stratovolcano' yang telah mengubah wajah dunia di tahun 1815 silam. Sekarang, Tambora menyisakan pemandangan menakjubkan dari puncaknya yaitu berupa kaldera terbesar dengan diameter 18 km dengan latar pemandangan laut dan juga Gunung Rinjani di sisi barat. Tapi, pernahkah kamu memikirkan seperti apa di dasar kawahnya dan bagaimana menuju kesana?

Certainly never heard this one mountain: The Tambora, a mountain in the West Nusa Tenggara in Dompu Regency Sumbawa island.

Not only is famous among the local, but also on an international scale. The mountain is famous for its eruption ' stratovolcano ' which has changed the 'face' of the world in the 1815 ago. Now, the Tambora has a magnificent view from its peak that is the form of the largest Caldera with a diameter of 18 km with views of the sea and also mount Rinjani on the West side. But, have you thought about what it looks like at the bottom of its crater and how to get there?

Wallace’s Standardwing Bird of Paradise

Standardwing is a species of the bird-of-paradise. The local called it Bidadari Halmahera. I fancy the local name more as if You translate Bidadari to English, it will be translate to “Angel” or “Fairy”.

It is a bird of paradise species discovered by and later named for Alfred Russell Wallace, whose biological surveys of the islands of the Malay Archipelago led him to develop the same concepts of natural selection and speciation that Darwin was cooking up over on the other side of the world.
