When making astrophoto's, capturing blue colors seems to be the most hard part. That was the reason why we pointed our 10 inch Newton telescope in the direction of the constellation Scutus, where we can find the very dim blue nebula IC-1287 (or VdB-124). In the corner right under, we can find the open starcluster NGC 6649). The total exposure time was about 4 hours (80 subs from 3 minutes).

Messier 1 a.k.a. The Crab Nebula.
This remarkable object is the remain of a huge, exploded star. After it exploded, it was so bright that it could be seen in daytime (in China in the year 1.054 AD). Nevertheless, we still can make beautiful photos of this nebula 1.000 years later.

IC-5146 or the Cocoon Nebula.
We shot this photo in September 2023. It is a beautiful and colorful nebula in the constellation Cygnus. The nebula is at a distance of more then 3.200 lightyears from earth. The right color comes from reflecting Hydrogen gas. Also the nebula contains a lot of darker dust, that's made visible in the picture.
