SEKUMPUL WATERFALL
Sekumpul waterfall is the beautiful waterfall with 7 hidden waterfalls situated in the tranquility of valley in Singaraja, north part of Bali. It is the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali Island offering the amazing panoramic view of waterfall surrounded by the lush jungle with serenity ambiance. There 7 waterfalls available at this site but the only 2 of them can be visited and having great waterfalls with 80 meters high. It is bit hard walk on down or up trekking to the waterfall passing through the path way with wild bushes, deep down step and crossing river with 1 meter high of water. There is a gazebo available before we trek down to the river to enjoy the panoramic view of waterfall and hear the sound of splash waterfall from the distance. It is recommended to wear the short pant and T-shirt when visiting this waterfall to facilitate your trekking adventure to this waterfall.It is located in Sekumpul Village, Sawan district and Singaraja Region, north part of Bali Island. We recommend you pass through Sekumpul Village when visiting this waterfall and you will go for bit long trekking through cemented path and continued to trek down through the deep hundred of steps as well as crossing river. Therefore the short pant, T-shirt and Sandal (trekking shoes) are recommended to wear.
For those of you who are interested to visit this fantastic waterfall and enjoy the trekking adventure as well as swimming, hence the best time to visit is between 9.00 am to 15.00 pm. But morning trip will be more wonderful while enjoy the beautiful natures on trekking adventure activities. In case of rain, the road will be slippery, and need extra careful to pass through the slippery footpath.
There are 7 waterfalls available at this site but the only 2 waterfall continuously supplied by water generally. Meanwhile the others are depended on the season where the wet season will be possibly appear. The unique thing of Sekumpul Waterfall is the different color of water when the wet season where one waterfall will be keep clear meanwhile to other will be muddy (brown). It is because of the water source are different where one of waterfall is supplied from the spring meanwhile the others are from river.
The public facilities at this site are still inadequate, due to it just started opened for public and appointed as one of places to visit in Bali. However your trip will be fantastic by discovery some Balinese compounds surrounded by Rambutan and Durian trees. After walking about 10 minutes, you will be able to see the view of the rice terraces, verdant hills and amazing waterfall from a distance. We need bit strongly and fit to walk through the trekking track about 300 meters and down hundreds of steps and cross the river with 1 meter high. The changing clothes are also recommended to be brought. Your tiredness will vanish after seeing these twin waterfalls with crowd of splash water sound to captivate you to go for swimming or taking some photos.
