The cremation ceremony or called Ngaben will be held on July 23, 2022 at Jl. Raya Kadewatan, br. Tanggayuda, Ubud, Bali. As for the process we started on July 20 In this ceremony we involve 38 heads of families who have relatives who died from 5 years ago . And now we are together doing the release ceremony .

👉 The meaning of the Ngaben ceremony for Balinese Hindus

Ngaben is a cremation or cremation ceremony in Bali, Indonesia. The Ngaben traditional ceremony is a ritual carried out to send the co**se in the next life. In this ceremony, the co**se is placed in a position like a sleeping person. The family left behind will assume that the person who died is sleeping. In this ceremony, there are no tears because they assume that the co**se is just not there for a while and undergo reincarnation or will find final rest in Moksha which is a state where the soul is free from reincarnation and the wheel of death. This cremation ceremony is also a symbol to purify the spirits of those who have died.

In Hinduism, the human body consists of a subtle body (spirit or atma) and a gross body (physical). The gross body is formed by the five elements known as the Panca Maha Bhuta. These five elements consist of pertiwi (earth), teja (fire), apah (water), bayu (wind), and akasa (empty space). These five elements unite to form the physical and are then moved by the spirit. If someone dies, what actually dies is only the rough body while the spirit is not. Therefore, to purify the spirit, it is necessary to carry out a Ngaben ceremony to separate the spirit from the rough body.
