Prince Harry believes good mental health is a "necessity" - not a "luxury".

The 40-year-old royal - who has been candid about his own mental health issues over the years - believes it's important to "talk openly about our mental health without fear of judgement".

Speaking at the United Nations in New York City, Harry explained: "Good mental health, mental fitness, is not a luxury - it is a necessity for every single one of us. More so, perhaps, for our decision makers and those sitting in positions of power and influence.

"Addressing this issue requires not only global action, but also the courage to break the stigma, to talk openly about our mental health without fear of judgement."

Harry recently urged politicians to take a hands-on approach to tackling the mental health crisis.

The prince said: "Surely one of the solutions here is for governments to implement, or at least find people-young people like yourselves-and bring them into decision making, policy-making situations, before the problems exist.

"We’re very good at creating problems for ourselves to try and solve, but surely by bringing young people in at the early stages… surely that is where the difference is going to be made.

"Why is that not happening?"

Harry also observed that courage is needed to tackle the mental health crisis.

He said: "Every single one of us needs courage in order to really move the dial and create positive change in today’s world, probably more so now than ever.

"Now we need to listen, constantly listen, and then act on the advice and the vision that you have because otherwise it’s your future that’s being stolen from you and that is unacceptable."

Facts about Borobudur: Massive Buddhist Temple: Borobudur is the world's largest Buddhist temple, constructed during the 9th century by the Sailendra Dynasty in Central Java, Indonesia.

Unique Design: It's a marvel of architecture, consisting of six square terraces topped by three circular platforms and a central stupa. The monument is decorated with over 2,600 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues depicting scenes from the life of Buddha and Buddhist teachings.

Volcanic Ash Burial: Borobudur was abandoned sometime between the 10th and 15th centuries, possibly due to volcanic eruptions. It remained hidden under volcanic ash and overgrown with vegetation for centuries.

Rediscovery and Restoration: The temple was rediscovered in the early 19th century by British forces and underwent major restorations in the 20th century.

UNESCO World Heritage Site: Recognized for its cultural and historical significance, Borobudur was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1991.

History of Borobudur:

Construction: Built between 778 and 850 CE, Borobudur reflects the influence of Mahayana Buddhism and Gupta architecture from India, with unique Javanese elements.

Pilgrimage Site: The temple served as a pilgrimage site for centuries, with pilgrims following a path symbolizing the journey towards enlightenment.

Abandonment: The reasons for Borobudur's abandonment are not entirely clear, but the rise of Islam in Java and volcanic eruptions are considered likely factors.

Rediscovery and Reemergence: Rediscovered in 1814, Borobudur underwent extensive restoration projects in the 20th and 21st centuries. Today, it's a major tourist destination and a center for Buddhist pilgrimage.

Myth about Borobudur:

Javanese Creation Myth: Local myths connect Borobudur's location to Javanese creation stories. The Kedu Plain, where Borobudur sits, is considered a sacred place, believed to be anchored to the seafloor by a giant nail. The meeting point of two rivers near the temple is also viewed as a significant spot.

Borobudur Temple: Nestled in the heart of Central Java, Borobudur is the world’s largest Buddhist temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Constructed in the 9th century during the Sailendra Dynast…

IATA predicts slow recovery in aviation sector, govt should boost confidence | Published on : Wednesday, April 22, 2020

Considering the anticipated slow recovery in demand for air travel the International Air Transport Association has called for governments to work with the industry on confidence-boosting measures.

Alexandre de Juniac, IATA director general said that passenger confidence will suffer a double whammy even after the pandemic is contained – hit by personal economic concerns in the face of a looming recession on top of lingering concerns about the safety of travel.

Governments and industry must be quick and coordinated with confidence-boosting measures.

It was noted in an IATA-commissioned survey of recent travellers that some 60 per cent of travellers anticipate a return within one to two months of containment of the Covid-19 pandemic however 40 per cent indicate that they could wait six months or more.
It was indicated by more than two third of travellers that many would delay a return to travel until their personal financial situation stabilises.

Return-to-travel behaviour are seen in the domestic markets of China and Australia, where new coronavirus infection rates have fallen to very low levels.

After the rate of new Covid-19 infections in China fell into single digits China domestic demand began to recover.

From mid-February into the first week of March there was an early upswing and the number of domestic flights plateaued at just over 40 per cent of pre-COVID-19 levels.

While the actual demand is expected to be significantly weaker as load factors on these flights are reported to be low. China accounts for some 24 per cent of all domestic passengers.
