Batur Sunrise Hike

After being picked up from your hotel at 1:30 am, you'll be driven by bus to the foothills of Mount Batur, the second highest point in Bali. After an approximately 2 hour drive, you'll arrive at the sacred volcano, which reaches over 5600 feet (1717 m) in height.

At the mountain, your expert guide will give you a basic briefing so you can complete your trek up to the peak in complete safety. Ready? Let's start climbing!

Having reached the summit crater of the Batur Volcano, take in the incredible nature around you as you watch a spectacular sunrise. You'll be left speechless by this truly unforgettable sight. Enjoy your well-deserved breakfast with amazing views.

Before you make your way back down, you'll have the opportunity to explore three more volcanic craters, which are still active today. You'll then return to the bottom of the mountain for the finishing touch on your excursion: relaxing in natural hot springs (optional). Let your muscles enjoy the benefits of the thermal waters as you rest! On the way back to the hotel, you'll make a stop at a coffee plantation to sample some.

Caesar Archangels Hendrik Meo Tnunay yang biasa disapa Nono, bocah kelas 2 SD anak seorang petani asal Desa Retraen, Kecamatan Amarasi Selatan, Kabupaten Kupang mengharumkan nama NTT dan Indonesia. Nono berhasil meraih juara dunia kompetisi matematika.

Meski tinggal di pelosok daerah terpencil, namun semangat belajar Nono untuk berprestasi tak menjadi hambatan.

Hal ini terlihat dari keseharian Nono yang setiap bangun pagi menyempatkan diri untuk belajar sebelum berangkat ke sekolah.

Kecepatan untuk menghitung menjadi keunggulan Nono. Dia dibimbing langsung oleh ayahnya yang berbekal kalkulator. Ayahnya menyebut angka sambil mengetik, sementara Nono hanya menggunakan tangan dan langsung menyebutkan hasil hitungannya.

Nono yang saat ini merupakan siswa kelas 2 SD Inpres Buraen 2, meraih juara 1 kompetisi matematika tingkat dunia, dalam ajang International Abacus World Competition, Abacus Brain 2022 dengan mengalahkan 7 ribu peserta dari berbagai negara.

Ayah nono, Rafli Meo Tnunay mengaku sangat bangga dan terus mengasah kemampuan anaknya. Untuk itu, setiap hari ia selalu mendampingi anaknya untuk belajar. Selain itu, Nono juga mendapat bimbingan dari salah satu dosen dari Universitas Indonesia.

“Sebelum ke sekolah kalau ada waktu saya ajarkan seperti tadi,” ucap ayahnya, Sabtu (21/1/2023).

Setiap harinya nono selalu diantar ayahnya dengan motor ke sekolah dengan jarak rumah ke sekolah sejauh kurang lebih 4 kilometer. Ayahnya kemudian kembali ke aktivitasnya sebagai seorang petani. FDL
