Minister of Transportation E. E. Mangindaan and State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan appoint the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of Air Navigation Services Provider Indonesia (LPPNPI) at the Ministry of State Enterprises, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan on Wednesday 16 January 2013.

The appointment is a follow up of the issuance of Government Regulation (PP) No. 77 in 2012 on the Perum LPPNPI. With the appointment of the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors, Perum LPPNPI officially operate.

In his address, the Minister of Transportation explain that the establishment of the Perum LPPNPI a milestone in the world of national airline of Indonesia, since the establishment of this organization means that Indonesia already has a single provider in the field of air navigation. Therefore MOT expects the safety and air navigation service can be held properly.

"I hope with the election of directors and the board Perum LPPNPI, It can work well in supporting the implementation of aviation safety in Indonesia and the creation of air navigation services in Indonesia professionally with the same quality of service on any service providers," he said.

The future challenges facing by Perum will be enormous. This is due for navigation services in Indonesia is served by several agencies that UPT of Directorate of Transportation, PT. Angkasa Pura I, PT. Angkasa Pura II, and a special airport, causing the different levels of service quality are not the focus of navigation and air navigation service providers. "So the challenge to be faced is how to bring together different elements into one organization is solid," added the MOT.

MOT hope soon the Perum run well, it will impact and solve crucial problems in the word of navigation.
One of the crucial issues in the world of navigation is still such a limited number of human resources available for the Air Traffic Controller. Today, there are only 1,000 ATC officers available and 800 officers are still required to meet the needs ideally.

"It is necessary that in the future, the institute contribute solving the shortage of human resources so as to contribute significantly to the limitations faced by the government in order to prepare human resources in the field of air navigation," he said in closing its remarks.

Meanwhile, Minister of State Owned Enterprises Dahlan Iskan said that currently there is no swearing in the state at any level, so after receiving SK should work right away. "Upon receiving the letter of appointment had to be on duty, after this event should be directed joint board meeting of the supervisory board," he said. (HH)

Angkasa Pura I, PT.

(HH)
