You can tell sea turtle species apart by the color, shape, and pattern of their shells (called scutes) and the pattern of the scales on their faces. Each species has unique “scute patterns” on their shells and faces that offer the only surefire way to distinguish between species.

And not only can you tell sea turtle species apart by these features, you can also tell individual turtles apart! The scale pattern on a turtle’s face is as unique as a fingerprint, and scientists are now using those unique patterns to identify and keep track of individual sea turtles.

Galápagos sea lions snuggle during a snooze on the sand. These small sea lions sleep around 12 hours a day, and will seemingly snag some shut-eye in any spot - such as beaches, boat ramps, lounge chairs, and walkways 🦭💤

There are hundreds of passenger vessels – from small sailboats, to dive boats, surf charters, and tourist vessels operating amongst the 17,000 islands of the Indonesian Archipelago – and literally thousands in Malaysia and Thailand.

After many years of operation, we have never heard of anyone seeing a pirate!
We do however find reef sharks in some of our best diving destinations within Komodo and Raja Ampat marine preserves – these shy, graceful creatures are the high point of many dives.

These species pose absolutely 𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 to man – there has not been a known shark attack in Indonesian/Thai waters in the past decades.

There is a very large main deck with outdoor dining facilities and plenty of places to sit and chat or lie down with a good book. Sun worshipers will usually be found out on the ample bows, where one can look down to watch the dolphins play, or on a sunbed up on the roof catching those sun rays.
