The recent ALBUM ‘‘STORYBOOK’ – THE SONGS OF BRENDAN GRAHAM” by CATHY JORDAN & FEARGAL MURRAY was launched at Swords Castle January ’24 as part of Dublin TRADFEST, followed by a nationwide tour and a performance at CELTIC CONNECTIONS in Glasgow.

“Jordan doesn’t just sing the melody, she inhabits the whole song and sings it from the inside out”

Upon it’s release the single ‘WINTER BLESSING” became the most played track on RTE RADIO 1 for 3 weeks running

They also performed at the RTE Radio 1 Folk Awards in Vicar St February ’24, doing the Shane Mac Gowan song KITTY as part of his memorial section. It was introduced by his sister Siobhan and the event was recorded by RTE TV and attended by President MD Higgins. They have since recorded a studio version of the song and plan to release it in the Autumn ’24.

STORYBOOK- The songs of Brendan Graham, sung by Cathy Jordan (Dervish) and accompanied by Feargal Murray (Camille O’ Sullivan, Jimmy McCarthy) was released on 19th January 2024, with the debut single ‘A WINTER BLESSING’ released 1st December. This ten-track album traverses the lines between old tradition and more modern folk tradition. Songs on the album include ‘Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears’, ‘Waltzing Alone’ ‘Sleepsong’ and ‘Winter Fire & Snow’.

King House Christmas Craft Fair 2024 🎄

The annual Christmas Craft Fair in King House Boyle marks the first signs of Christmas for many, providing a festive buzz in the setting of a beautiful Georgian Mansion.

Taking place on Friday evening Nov 29th from 5pm to 9pm & Saturday 30th from 10am to 5pm the Craft Fair offers something for everyone with over 50 stands to choose from alongside, fun characters, dance performance, live music offerings and also a free to enter competition.

We are excited to welcome "A Christmas Mascot Experience" on Friday evening with many exciting Christmas Characters including Elf on the Shelf for you to meet.

6pm – Dance performance by Victoria Walker School of Dance.

📆Saturday 30th Nov

11.30 to 12.30 - Sligo Concert Band

1pm to 1.30pm - Storytelling with

2pm to 3pm - The Dukes of Uke will provide Yuletide Ukulele melodies.

The Traditional Irish Music course based in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim was established in 1997 and welcomes musicians, singers and dancers of any age, any instrument and any ability including complete beginners.
