This little girl is coming along nicely … Túsúra is her name and a fresh start (or clean slate) is her game. She is holding a piece of Irish slate that has a straight line of quartz running through it. This type of stone is considered “lucky” by the Irish. The slate is from the same, now disused, quarry in Ireland’s Ancient East that supplied the slate for building the Palace of Westminster in London, England (UK House of Parliament). Quartz crystal is a power stone that's prized as a healing stone. It is known as the most powerful healing stone of the mineral kingdom, able to work on any condition. It has been called the "Universal Crystal" because of its many uses and is beneficial for manifesting, healing, meditation, protection and channeling. She’s coming along, just not as quickly as I’d like. Did I mention she’s made out of a gin bottle? Anyway, I’ve been battling a chest cold for about a week and trying to still get as many necessary things done in the cottages as possible. Not fun being sick, but so grateful I can work wherever I am. And yes, my Christmas tree is still standing … until January 6th … the 12th night. It’s been a very different holiday season for me. The whole empty nest thing with all my grown children doing their own thing weighs heavy on my heart, but the love that fills my soul is such a soothing balm. Being able to watch sweet grandbabies enjoy the wonder of Santa was another sweet blessing this Christmas. Life goes on, and so must we. May God shower many blessing on you and yours this New Year, my friends 🙏🏻 ☘️❤️☘️❤️☘️❤️

Cranking out a few more Soul Sisters from the Slate Quarries of Ireland’s Ancient East. I’m feeling the need to incorporate some slate into these newest gals … from the same slate quarry that was used in the building of the Palace of Westminster in London! How cool is that? It’s so much fun to be in a place of such earthen treasures, especially for an artist! The Celtic Earth is full of them💚

Swipe left to see the source of their amazement 😂😂😂 Our grandbabies visited us in Ireland and we celebrated Christmas with them and their sweet parents. They were able to visit a local dairy farm where they enjoyed quite the tour. The Littles thought the cows were being milked from “outta their butts” (the four-year old’s words)! I’ve laughed more in these past two weeks than I have in a long time! We had such a beautiful holiday vacay! I hope you’ve had a wonderful one, as well, and may you all have many blessings throughout this new year!

Per … “Celebrate the Winter Solstice at the Knockroe Passage Tomb in County Kilkenny on Wednesday December 21st
Nestled between the hills of the Lingaun Valley in Knockroe County Kilkenny lies the Caiseal a Megalithic Passage Tomb, the only Passage Tomb which records both the morning and evening Winter Solstice events.
The morning Solstice occurs at 8.40am while the evening Solstice occurs at 3.40pm.
The Caiseal Conservation Committee,Lingaun Valley Tourism and Suir Valley Environmental Group will be on hand on the day to oversee parking facilities and provide refreshments to visitors, with a guest speaker scheduled to attend the evening event.

PATRONS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN IMPORTANT NATIONAL MONUMENT AND SHOULD TAKE CARE NOT TO CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TO THE STONES.

For those attending the solstice events at Knockroe, remember it is rural setting and wellies or good boots would be advised, also plan on arriving early as there is a short walk in to the site.

Special thanks is extended to Kilkenny County Council for their grant allocation and to the OPW for their permission to host the event, to those supplying parking facilities, baking and our many volunteers who help to make this event so special.
Distant visitors to the morning and evening events may like to tour the area during the day and see some of the other places of interest in the locality.”

Took a little day trip to Kilmogue Dolmen in County Kilkenny … it didn’t disappoint! It’s absolutely magical! The skies were clear and blue and the sun was smiling down. What a glorious day!
