Ireland’s security industry is governed by the Private Security Authority who enforce strict licensing legislation for companies operating in the Irish market. As a result security installation and monitoring companies operating in Ireland must be LICENSED and accredited to operate legally. This means it’s less of a free for all like the UK for example which is a mess due to accreditation not being a legal requirement yet.
Recently we have seen at least 5 ARC’s and their representative’s based outside of Ireland both promoting and providing monitoring services in Ireland without a PSA license. This is illegal.
We have attached a quick video below showing how you can very quickly check on the PSA website if the company you use or are considering using have the correct PSA license.
By offering or providing you a service without a PSA license it is not only illegal but puts you as a customer at risk too!
